Miami / Fort Lauderdale Meet

Hey guys, I've been tied up for quite some time, but I can sure use a change of pace. How about a meet in the Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area? Any takers?

I was thinking Dave and Busters off I-95 and Sterling road. But I'm open for suggestions. Somewhere with easy access for anyone from the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area, and of course anyone else who wants to join us. The more the merrier.

I'd be in...would just have to be on the weekend...during the day....nights are a lot of trouble for me...

The thing with meets is that everyone wants to meet but no one wants to set the meet up
Hyper Fx, i think this is a great idea and can be turned into a great M&G, you probably wont have it this weekend, but im sure if you attempted to schedule at a later time you most likely will have a better turn out and interests.
The more time people have to read about a happening will result in a bigger interest in that topic
I say go for it!!!!
Maybe even find a park to meet at or a parking lot or maybe contact some other places and ask for a monthly meet at their restaurant, etc
The more M&G's we have the better the outcome of members =)

Yo I'm in. I guess a few LXers meet at the Tower Club Shops off 595 and University drive every Friday night. I forget where the thread is showing the exact location in the lot where they gather cause a lot of different cars come out for that. Try searcing Tower Shops...i am going to try and go tomorrow night if I get off the water in time.

Well guys, I sure didn't believe it would take place this weekend! I tried this last year, but ran into alot of family issues that kept me from following through. So I'm posting this meet now to give us the chance to set up a date, time and place. Believe me, I sure could use the distraction, and share with some fellow enthusiasts from the forum. The reason I mentioned D&B is because they have a fairly large parking lot in the shopping center where it is located. The locale is also fairly easy to get to, and approx. halfway between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Like I said, I'm open for suggestions. The Friday evening car show at 595 and University is usually at night, I prefer day time. Some guys spend lots of time modifying and detailing their rides, which can not be appreciated during the evening hours. All in all, let's set this up, let's do it right, and hopefully we get a great turn out! Once again... any takers?

Well, I'm not "hearing" any suggestions. So I will pick another locale that apparently is a favorite amongst alot of the forum members! So let me know if 'yall will accept this invitation for a meet. Lets all gather on March 12, 2006 at 11:00 am at Hooters of Beach Place located on 17 S. Atlantic Blvd Unit 304 Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316. This is tentative depending on replies. I also need to check with the local management of the Hooters to avoid any conflict with any other possible events they may have going on on that day. So let me "hear" what you guys and gals have to say! If this locale or date is not OK I'm still open for suggestions if we want this to happen.

HyperFX... Obviously you missed Monty's post with the link to a thread with the info and directions you need. We meet every Friday night at the Tower Shops in Davie (is it Davie? I think it's Davie) off of 595 & University. If you take 595 West get off on University then turn left. Take the first left after the overpass and then come in to the parking lot. We park near the vendors. If you check the link Monty posted, he has a map on the first page.

It was hard enough to get people to start showing up to this event and Monty and I seem to be the only consistent ones. I don't think changing locale is the best thing right now. Maybe once we get a bigger following then we can have our own meets.

Sorry Guys, Hooters is out of the question. I forgot about Spring Break. I called this morning and it won't be possible. Perhaps on another ocassion. As for the Friday meet at Tower Shops, I don't think we won't be able to appreciate the members rides at night as much as during the daylight hours. Others just can't make it on Fridays because of either work or family affairs. Dave and Busters is centrally located off of I-95 and Sterling Road. Fairly easy to get to for either north or south bound people who plan to attend. Another possible location is SawGrass Mills Mall. For those who dare bring their spouses for a Sunday shopping spree! LOL
I'm in for March 12th at Dave and Busters! But seems I'll be there by myself... or will I?

Dood! Just come out to tower shops!

We're already establishing ourselves out there. If we're going to make a new M&G then we would have to determine the best day/time/place so that it agrees with everyone.

So until we can all agree on a good time/place, then Tower Shops seems like the most logical place. Let's figure this one out. Maybe we could all meet one day then go on a cruise to the beach or something. Ya know... Show off some Magnum power.
