The Hammer Fest

Well it is getting time to start planning the Hammer Fest so that a big caravan of LX's can join Rev.Hammer to pick up his new Black Charger R/T.

The Charger was ordered through Regent Dodge in Nashville (or Madison if your picky) Tennessee. They are the largest dealer in the area so they should have a good allocation. Based on that, I am guessing we have less than a month left until the big day.

Since Madison is 150 miles from Arab, we may want to gather in the Nashville (Music City USA) area.

As for the date, how about Saturday Nov. 19th or Sun the 20th?

However, I am open to suggestions as to time and place and any thing else that would be important or just fun.

By the way, we still need a few hundred more dollars to finish off the down payment so Hammer Fund: Do a good thing!

Too bad that's the time of year the PO starts to get really busy. All the vacation for the year was allocated long ago. I doubt if I'll be able to take off until next summer or fall. Dang, it'd be a hoot.

Don, the wife and I would love to make the road trip for this event. Given the distance between us, I'd probably throw a few vacation days at it and call it a 5 day weekend. Pencil us "in."

Either of those dates is fine with us. If you'd keep us posted regarding the confidence level in "on-time" delivery we'd appreciate it. we'll need to be making hotel reservations and such, but we'll probably wait until the last minute until things are reasonably firmed up.

just wish it were less than a sixteen hour drive for me. debating at the moment. would love to take a trip and meet some of the fine folks of the forum in the south but a thousand miles is a thousand miles. will let you know my decision when we get closer to the date.

It's a little over 500 miles from here to Nashville, so I could be in depending on the date.

I would need to use Saturday as a travel day, and it would take about 8 hours for me to make it, so Sunday would be the day for me.

Of course, the car dealer won't be open then...

Well, I am looking at 12+ hours from home for this one.

I would love to be there for the Big day but I think I am going to have to say "I'll be there in Spirit"
