Florida Event ?

I got a call about an event next Tuesday ? Or something close.....

An LX event with track ?

Maybe I misunderstood, could use some tuning on the car, and running it through its paces.....since Pomona was a bust for us.

But Id like to get as much seat time as I can and since well be in Bradeton it just makes sense. Besides Im not adverse to showing the car off, only about 5 people have seen it in person since I built it.

And Id like to get the old man behind the wheel since its his car....lol....I think its actually gonna be tough, I think it scares him, wheelstanding isnt his style, as is evidence by the wheelie bars he usually buys and I put on.....this one is different though.

We havent run yet We were supposed to but ran into "issues" which scratched Pomona.....so we decided to run around Fla and Georgia first part of the year.

Awesome I have been wanting to meet Doug, hes been very helpful and forthcoming on the build.

Im expecting 9.9 ish ? Its a DP car #24.......It caged of course, and well, a DP car....
Cage will be Cert by then so.....

Well have run out a bit at Bradeton so , hopefully we can get her down to 9.8-9 ish by that Tue. Well see...assuming something else dosent go wrong.....
But Bradeton is a mixed call at this point, Im not going to push it but if were ready well go, if not I need some track time with the car. This sounded like a great opportunity

Well, if you are ready to go on Feb 16th at Bradenton, we'll throw you in with Doug in the Unlimited class if you wish to compete, or just give you access to the track for dial-in runs if you prefer that.

$125 in advance or $140 at the gate to have access for 8 hours and see a lot of quick LX's and colorful owner/drivers.

The deal I gave Doug was that he could compete in Unlimited but not be eligible for series or event points.

Let's see if Chris shows and what his expectations are before we let that precedent blow up in my face.

Personally, I don't think a 9.8 is going to take 1st place in Unlimited (of course red lights and breakages happen) so we're talking about a trophy here.

Let's see how it plays out.

Well I keep reverting to post # 1 of the bradenton event thread. Pretty clear rule on who is elegible to participate. I figured anyone outside of that would be an exibition car. No matter, its a 2 or 3 car race anyway, just thinking out loud.

I love the idea the "Race Cars" are wanting to run with us. Guess we are moving up in the world.

I can't find the post where I explained my rationale for making an exception for Doug, but it pretty much came down to the fact I wanted him to participate because I wanted everyone to be able to see a Drag Pack car run.

Now we may have a couple to run.

No event or series points though.

no problem...id like to run doug heads up maybe once if he's game im just looking for seat dial gremlin hunting time...thinking about running the old man home to get his srt8 or 6 pak car to be our runner for all the races aand events now....sitting in a hotel room typing this on my phone picking up new engine tommorow at stantonsthen back to atlanta for rebuild of chassis hopefully bradeton on tue barring any gremlins we haven't seen yet.talked to doug I've been wanting to meet him face to face....he's been a real asset on our build.cheerschris
