Cruise-In and Car Show this Saturday!

It has become known to me that there is a Cruise-In and Car Show on the 2nd Saturday of each month here in Dawsonville and I was wondering if any of y'all would like to get together and form an "LX" block.

There are actually *two* shows listed on the Dawson Chamber of Commerce website; one starts at 3pm at the old Thunder Road location and the other is from 5pm to 9pm at the Outlet Mall. I'm not sure if both are really going to happen or not, but I intend to make some phone calls tomorrow and find out.

The one at the Outlet Mall has no fees associated with it and the one at Thunder Road has a $5 fee to show, $2 to park and look around.

I'll post more info as I get it. But in the meantime, how many of y'all can come up and make a meet-n-greet out of it?

Ok, looks like there actually are two competing shows this Saturday in Dawsonville. The one at the Outlet Mall (Dawson Cruisers) used to be at the old Thunder Road location, but they moved locations two years ago. The Thunder Road crowd, perhaps spitefully, decided they would put on their own show and scheduled it to be on the same day as the Dawson Cruisers show.

It looks like the Cruisers show at the outlet mall is the largest one and they get, according to the gentleman I spoke with, about 150-200 cars at each show as long as the weather isn't too bad. He also mentioned that they open for registration at 4pm and the show opens to the public at 5pm. It's really laid back, there are no fees, they play oldies music, and they have pretty good door prizes if what he told me is accurate.

    Soooo....anyone interested?

Does that mean you're thinking of making an appearance?
