Need help with dealerships in NYC and Central NJ

I had my oil changed yesterday and saw the tie rods need to be replaced. Went to my local dealership in Staten Island, NY and was told that in order for it to be checked out and repaired, I had to set an appointment for a day to show up between 7am-10am, and leave the car there all day. Cars start lining up at 6am, and it's first come first serve. Are all dealerships in the New York City/ Central New Jersey following this process? Anybody have any dealerships they recommend? I don't want to drop the car off at 6am and leave it there until god knows when....I'd rather wait for it and be there, even if it means going in the early morning for the very first appointment slot. As of right now the earliest my dealership can see me is next Tuesday, June 23rd. Thanks everybody!

He's about 20 min from you in central NJ. East Brunswick Rt18.

My local dealer is pretty good as well.
They will make a appointment for a specific time but you most likely will have to wait for a while.

They rather have you hang out at home then looking over their shoulders every few minutes. lol

Thanks for the info! I shot him a pm just now. I'd be much more comfortable dropping my car off with a fellow forum member than just handing it over to an average joe.
