NE MEET 'N GREET (preliminary stage)

There's been some talk, but being April already, I'm sure people will need to start planning ahead for something like this. So I'm here to ask:

Who, what, when, where, and how?

Are you:
Looking to coincide with a Dodge event?
Looking to coincide with a race or other automotive event?
Looking for a resort or tourist attraction?
Looking for a one-day event or full weekend event with a Friday night cruise and Saturday show?
Looking for track-time, quarter mile or oval?
Looking for it to coincide with a holiday or just a normal weekend?

There's lot of ideas out there and many more questions to ask. Lets hear your suggestions.

And more importantly, has anyone started planning such an event already? Is the head honcho already out there?

I would like to just get together with a bunch of mag owners and do a one-day event. A Saturday get together and take over some place with a massave amount of MAGNUM'S. Let me know.

So, where's the center of the North East? The NYC area? Central PA? Where would be a good central location to look for a place to take over.

And what type of establishment? Restaurant? Sportsbar? Amusement Park? Car Museum/show? Mall?

Everyone has opinions and ideas. Let's hear them.

We need to find a nice place for a cruise. Maybe a city with a cruise night scheduled and then take it over "Magnum Style". I'm a little (okay, a lot) partial to Central Pa. since I live here, but willing to travel anywhere in the N.E. I like the idea of a sports bar or a hot rod bar or restaurant to meet.......

But I always thought that should be a race...like Nascar or something, a beer per lap, or to make it last a little longer, a beer per 5 laps....or maybe you'ld have to beer bong a 40oz per pitstop Hell, they have blind fold racing with a navigator....why not drunken racing?!?!

That's a great looking raceway. Road course & a drag strip, plus they have a motorcross track for you AWD guys.

I'm seriously kidding about about that last part. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I wouldn't say there's no interest. I think everyone has just been too busy with all of the work Spring brings to give this much of a second thought. I think a good turn out can be expected. I just sent off an email to Etown and I'll let you guys know what they have to say about possible dates if any are available.
