It's my cars birthday this week?

Yup, I've had the car for one year! I will be adding more to this later. Infact, when I wake up I will be giving the car it's weekly wash and wax detailing bonanza and I post some newer pics. I'm not sure the date I got the car, I think it was the 15th when I signed for it. Oh and yes, since I've been saving up, presents will involve racing this weekend.

I just wanna say for the sake of LXForums and ALL the Mopar nuts here in the Northeast, please, PLEASE, PLEASE...no matter what happens to Chrysler DO NOT get rid of the Mopar Nationals! EVER! Between the track itself and this event, I can't express how much it is a second home and always has been the best week of every year. Since I was a seed, I have been driving non-stop. As a kid, it was dream to become a race car driver. SO MANY GREAT THINGS have happened to me during the weekend of May 16th-17th.

• I got my very first Viper ride and the car wasn't even stock. It had 600-700HP and we got the car to go from 0-80 mph in 2nd-3rd gear shifts in seconds. I got sucked in the seat.
• The Viper Club Of America was the first club to get me to come to a Mopars @ Etown event and treated me like one of their own.
• When I started photography, it started HERE. I was told I had an really good eye for it and have stuck with it all the way from 8th grade to my 2nd year of college. (Going on 6 years!)
• I had almost skipped one year, the Viper Club left Etown for Pocono and since there was a giant Corvette Club in my town I left for the track when I discovered LXFORUMS.
• A year later I got my own Mopar and took it to the Mopar natl' as a OWNER (entered the car show lol) and not just a kid with a camera and a tan Ford Escort.
• and finally, AFTER YEARS of watching countless other Mopars go down the track, I finally get to do my first race at the Mopar Nationals.

Would you believe me if I told you I got the little monster for $14k with a $2k trade in for my old Ford? AND it had 17k miles on it? What's not to love?!

Since then it's done the following...

• Been to Florida and back with a stop in North Carolina in between. The MPG avg was 27 on the way down.
• It's been in bracket racing and won Mopar bracket #5 (ok so it was the 1/8th mile but a win is a win...especially against Dan, who was trying desprestely hard to get me to flinch at the line by making faces) LOL
• It's been to pleanty of car shows
• It's had more girls in it since I got it, than girls I have tried to date in my entire life.
• It's had its picture taken at Hooters
• I forgot it holds the record for quickest stock V6! 15.570@88.83 mph

If I ever start a thread wishing my car Happy Birthday please shoot me. Just kidding. Congrats and you have some nice pics. I went to NESOP in Kenmore Square Boston for Two years but couldn't make a living at it after graduation. Still like it for fun though. I've watched your work progress over the last 2 years it is looking pretty good, keep at it, it looks like you enjoy it.
