A BIG thanks to Chad, his wife, Erik and everyone that helped me on Friday.

    THANK YOU GUYS!
For the ones that didn't know, on Friday (11/16), we met up at Etown for some trial runs before the big race. I had problems with my jeep, on the 2nd pass my jeep spilled over a galon of antifreeze due to my Motorad 180º thermostat got stuck closed (I thought they were supposed to be fail safe, if it fails is in the open position?). So I made a mess...

    Long story short...
Erik had an extra tstat and he offered it to me including his tools to change it.
Chad changed it for me, his wife helped with the flashlight and I pour the antifreeze in .

Once it was changed I was back in business and made my final pass for the night with no problems.

And big thanks to Allevon also for offering to bring 2 glns of antifreeze to me, he was going to buy them in the way down and he had to travel 10 or 15 miles for that. He didn't have to since Chad had with him.

Big thanks also to Steve (tpbnana1606), he gave me his home phone number in case I had problems in the way home so he can pick me up, and also offer to leave my jeep there in case of problems.

All I have to say is WOW!, I'm proud of meeting and calling you guys FRIENDS! And not just them, but all of you I have met from the LX forums are top notch quality guys that I can call friends... yeah see... even Allevon .

Thanks also to Dan (Powerwagon) for offering me his tools , plastic bags and thermostats in case I ever need them.

I'm in debt to you guys...

So here goes to all of you guys...
    THANK YOU!

    Your friend,
    Mario

Everyone is fair game to be helped, it was just your turn.

I was glad that you dumped all the anti-freeze from the motor and let it cool. I didn't get burned or spill any antifreeze, it was the easiest change I ever had to do.

Way to spread the LX Love guys!

By the way Mario... you should probably put up a thread (if you haven't already) about that motorad tstat failing in the CLOSED position.

I know a bunch of folks are upgrading their 180's to that one... and if they fail closed like any other... looks like it may not be worthwhile.
