If you haven't been to one of these, I'll get to it in a minute...

BUT FIRST!

According to autoblog, Team Mopar has been unable to get the 800HP Dodge Challenger driftmobile (which is the most powerful car on the roster) ready to hit the track. Sam Hubinette, is stuck with the Viper (sad I know right, lol) for the first two rounds of the Formula Drift Championship. The Challenger is scheduled to be run at round 3. He just finished 2nd at the season opener in Long Beach and will be looking forward to a win at Atlanta. Sam kinda had an up and down season last year, in which the Dodge Charger SRT made only a few appearances but finished the season on a high note with the Viper.

SO...CAN ANYONE GUESS WHERE ROUND 3 IS!?

Yup Englishtown Raceway Park. Last year was the inaugural event for Englishtown and it was GREAT and fan friendly for anyone young and old. I had gone last year (I made my first 3 1/4 mi passes in the Morning with the Magnum too) and hung with Team Mopar and met Sam. You get up close with the cars, meet the drivers, cheer on your favorites and watch some great action. Whenever I talk about it I usually get "I don't get it, it makes no sense", So what!? For a whopping $25-28 (I felt it was a great deal), you got to see professional drivers go door to door at high speeds just inches from each other. Not to mention it's a photographers goldmine!

The website still lists the event being at Wall Speedway, but as most of us know Wall Speedway no longer exists and shut it's doors. That's what made the move over to Raceway Park and it's new road course. I'm going to double check with them and see what the deal is, since you can order tickets online. You can get them at the track also.

So who would be interested in getting a little group together!?
