    Posting Pictures

To post pictures in posts, you first must have them uploaded to a photo hosting site such as www.photobucket.com. One uploaded, you copy the url of the photo FROM your browser window, and in the posting box, hit the "Insert Image" button just above the post box. In the pop up box, paste the URL of the photo and then click "Okay." The forum software will appear in you post as code, but when entered, it will be viewed as the picture located at the URL.

A posted picture would look like this:

    Code:
    [img ]http://photobucket.com/albums/v65/DakotaSport/charger.jpg [/img ]

I almost had it by following your directions. Think I might bring my bird down here & see if she does any better. Nothing super fantastic, just my '06 Charger R/T. Wanted to share with people who appreciate them, even if they look stock, modified, 6 cyl or V-8. Ain't gonna give up just yet. But I wouldn't be opposed to help or suggestions. Thanks, Larry

After you've uploaded a pic to Photobucket you'll see three link options.
    URL - Tag & Img.

The Img file is the one you want to copy and paste to your post.

Can anybody help me out and let me know what I'm doing wrong. I'd like to post pics like everyone else, not just a link to photobucket. Thanks

If you have a picture/pictures uploaded in your photobucket account and you're signed in, all you need to transfer them here is:
    1) Click the box under the picture(s) you want to transfer.
    2) Click on "generate HTML and IMG code"
    3) Left click the text in the box that says: IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards-recommended.
    4) once all the text is blue, right click on it.
    5) click on "copy"
    6) go to the forum reply box, left click to put the cursor where you want the picture(s) to be, right click and click on paste and your picture(s) will be there. (it won't show the picture, just letters, until you post the reply or go advanced and preview your post, then it will show the picture), and you can see the picture full size by clicking on it, try it:

click on pic. to make it bigger:

Yeah, but you cannot go fullsize with this method when you click on the pic.

    You can with photobucket:

I get the whole idea, but I have trouble switching from one site back to the other.

Going from Photobucket back to LX Forums.

I seem to lose what I copied.
