    2005 Dodge Magnum TSB's

    http://mofocertified.com/2005_tsb_magnum.html

I recommend downloading the Index file first, as it will give you a short description for each TSB. Note the TSB number, and download/view that file.

    Enjoy!

There is also a TSB 21-011-05 dated April 23, 2005.

Models: 300/Magnum/Charger/Grand Cherokee (WK w/3.7L, LX w/ 5.7L, or LX AWD w/3.5L) equipped with a NAG1 (W5A580) transmission (sales code DGJ).

    Model year: 2005

SUBJECT: NAG1 (W5A580) Transmission - Shudder When Torque Converter Clutch Engages

OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves thoroughly flushing the NAG1 (W5A580) transmission of any water contamination, replacing the transmission filter, and applying RTV sealant around the base of the transmission fill tube to prevent water intrusion past the fill tube seal.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The customer may experience a transmission shudder when shifts occur. The shudder is most noticeable with partial application of the torque converter clutch in 3rd and 4th gear.

DIAGNOSIS: If the customer experiences the condition perform the Repair Procedure.

Are all of these for all Magnum's or are the engine specific? What is the protocal for getting a dealership to take care of this? Do I just call and set up an appointment and tell them that I want TSB so and so and this flash?

    THANKS CoolVanilla Big Help!

some cover the entire LX platform, others are model/engine specific but most are build date specific. you'll have to read them.
once you find one that describes your symptoms, simply explain your symptoms to service advisor and mention that you foun a TSB describing these symptoms. they should take care of the rest.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

How is this one different that 21-006-04 from April 2004. If it is new, can we get a copy added to the archive, I find having the actual TSB in hand helps immensely.

Nimcosi, 21-006-04 deals with the V6 engines and 21-011-15 is for the the 5.7L V8 Hemi engines. The fix is generally the same, but the part numbers may be different.

Hi Jarrod... I'm not sure I understand your question.

    LX defines the body style.

The LX currently comes with four engine options. You'll notice that all these TSB's are for the LX. If you have the HEMI, look for those that apply to the 5.7L.

That help clear up any confusion?

I am new to owning a Magnum RT and new to this site. I have been reading all night on this topic of TSBs and the like.

I just rolled 1K miles today on my way to work. Only owned the car for a week and a half. And I have noticed that at stop lights the car is shaking. like there is missing or hesitation going on. Much like this rough idle being talked about. I can't seem to find any info here on the 5.7 with rough idle.

And here is the kicker....I am in Europe! The Magnum does not exsist here. I own the only one I have ever seen in the 2 1/2 years I have been here. So I need as much ammo as I can have in hand when I go to the dealership here as the language barrier is a real PITA!!!!

Is there a way that all LX TSB's can be part of the downloadable list? I see a lot of Magnum TSB's, but there are quite a few 200-specific TSB's that are not on the list.

Any assistance you can provide would be excellent.
