Third Brake Light Pulsar Install *

So I installed the third break light pulser tonight that I got from HHP. It only took about 20 minutes to do and was pretty simple. Others here have done this, but I thought I'd post a couple of pics of the wire setup and be a little detailed on the process for anyone else wanting to do this.

You first remove the trim panel at the articulation of the hatch and the back of the car. There are three clips holding it on there. You should see a bunch of wires that are taped together. Find the thin green & white 20 gauge wire and cut it. Strip 1/2 inch off each cut end. Using the enclosed wire nut, attach the red wire from the pulser to on cut end of the Green/white wire that comes from the main brake lights. Then attach the white pulser wire to the other cut end of the green/white wire that feeds upward towards the third break wire. They also include another wire clasp to connect the ground wires. Find the thin black & white 20 gauge ground wire for the car (there are two black/white wires-the thinner one is the ground) and using the enclosed Red wire clasp, attach it to the blue ground wire from the pulser. You need to clip off the end attachment of the pulser ground wire in order to feed it into the red wire clasp. You do NOT need to cut the car ground wire. The instructions for the pulser show how to use the red wire clasp.

Tape or zip tie everything back in place and stuff the wires and pulser up under the headliner. That's it and your done.
It's a pretty cool mod. Now hopefully some people will back of my Mags A$$!

Hope this helps some. Here are a couple of pics.

Just did my install today, your photos were a big help to me.

Took just a few minutes to do, even for an old fat guy.

I might add that to remove the trim panel, you just pull down on the rear edge, it comes right off.

    Thanks,

Sweet mod! This coupled with Ernies custom logo painted 3rd brake light would be a cool mod combination!

Thanks for writing this guide, by the way. I installed mine many months ago and I've noticed a huge difference: People back up off of my as$ a lot more now. Even more than a stupid "back off" sticker.... lol.

    Hi Christopher.

We were talking about flashing brakelight here in sweden, and one guy recomendend a link to this page, but i just want to inform you about the product that we have in sweden called "whipflash", which gives exactly the same function as new vehicle have, with flashing brake light when you do an emergency stop. The whipflash has also a function that will automatically activate warning hazard if the cars crashes.

Take a look at it and say how you like it. I have mounted several WF II-C in cars successfully and by using the WF II series you will get all the brake light flashing, and if you want the function like the one you have, just select WF II-2ws.

I cant give you the link for now on, due to the f..... spammers.
But if you are intressed in the question please search on google for WF II-C and whipflash which is a swedish page, but also in english.

I think that you all here will like it, i have used it for several years now !!!!!

    Have a nice day !!!!

Great, thank you! Helped during my install - didnt have to look up wiring colors. It took me less than 15 minutes to finish it up. The HHP guys were super quick too - ordered on Wednesday, had it on Saturday. And thats during x-mas season!!

I have one from dynamic electronics that has switchs to change the pulse rate and style.

I wonder if the BLP-1PT (plug and play for 2006+ Chargers) will work with the Mags and 300C's. I've emailed WebElectric to see if they can give any input. Maybe they know of some difference that would prevent this from being plug and play for the rest of us?
