Prevent load floor from sliding while partially folded

How to prevent the load floor from sliding while partially folded
    1. Staple a 1 yard long strip of 2" wide velcro (the plasticky strip) to the non-carpeted side of the load floor with the edge of the velcro about 1/2 of an inch from the end of the floor piece. In essence, the velcro will fold around the edge of the floor piece like a "C". Fold the velcro strip around to the carpeted side of the floor piece and staple it down.

    2. Fold the front section of the floor over the middle section and place it in the car with the back end against the tailgate latch reciever.

    3. Fold the front section back down so it lays flat.

At this point, it will take a lot of force to pull it back out. It won't be doing anywhere while you drive. If you want to pull it out, fold up the back 2 sections and lift it out from other the left or right side and swing it up as if it were on a hinge.

    Note 1:
When I did this, I used 1/4" staples. I would recommend using some larger staples. The 1/4" staples would not grip the wood at all if I stapled in to the side of the floor piece, so that's why I wrapped the velcro around from the top to bottom. 1/2" stapes may work better.

    Note 2:
By wrapping the velcro from the top to the bottom, the velcro will stick no matter which side of the removable floor is facing up.

    Note 3:
The velcro strips do NOT stick to the Magnum's carpeting, but it does stick to the surface that is under the removable load floor.

I did something different, I drilled a hole on each side of the floor panel where the cover closest to the rear seat is and I put a large screw on each side of the panel that goes in those holes, hence preventing it from sliding.

It's not rocket science here, if you can't figure it out, you got problems, write up is fine.

Lol... Write up is perfectly fine... just buy a strip of velcro... around 1 1/2 - 2 inches wide... and staple it on... took me 5 min to do (including walking around the house looking for my staple gun) Great idea DMAG... hmmm should I add this to the list of my mods... I'm running out of room.
