    Glove Box Light

    Order a MOPAR P/N 04565022 switch.

Locate the connector behind the dash.
Remove the glove box. Disconnect the cable on the left side by sliding the plastic fitting aft/down to the hole and pull the button end through the hole. Bend the stops on each side inward so they clear the back of the dash and swing the glove box down. Lift upward to disengage hinge from dash and remove glove box.

Feel for wiring harness running along upper aft edge on back side of dash and locate the branch for the light connector. Mine had the connector taped to the main harness with sticky foam tape. Pull the tape off to release the connector and pull it down to glove box opening. You may want to temporarily tape the connector to the back of the dash above the glove box opening.

The attached image shows dimensions for a hole template. I printed this full sized on an adhesive label. Orient your hole as shown or the switch housing will shield the bulb.

Cut the hole for the switch, connect to wiring harness, insert switch in hole, and enjoy.

You could just simply use the actual light/connector and trace around it, as a template.

I have the switch and found the loom/connector and I have the glove box out. I am now working on taking some pictures. But I was looking for an image of the final product or just a picture of the 300C's switch location, there is enough play that there are a lot of places it CAN go, I would prefer to get it exactly where it SHOULD be.

    Many Thanks,

    -Robert

    BINGO -

OK here are the pictures I took while installing the glove box light.

Start here these tabs bend in and let the box come down a bit further to get access to the cable.

The tabs bend in this far to clear the dash.

Then remove the cable, its simple to undo

With the glove box removed, lay on your back with a flash light and look up. You should see the black sticky foam pad, it's holding the plug against the harness.

Pull the plug down and you should have this

I made a sticker templet from what was posted a few post up.

I used a sharpy to trace the templet then used a razor knife to cut away the dash pad.

Drill a small pilot hole and use a uni-bit to open it up the the right size.

I made an attempt to use a knife to cut the square edges of the hole out. The dash plastic won over the knife. I broke the handle. I ended up useing a dremel with a carbide burr bit and then cleaned up the edge with a knife.

    Testing the switch.

Bingo ! We have LIGHT !

I hope you all find this helpfull.

    -Robert

Seems the templet has gone missing here is a copy : Templet for Switch

Basicly yes, the loom is the same in the 300's and they have the light Magnums dont.

Buy the $10 switch and do a little drilling and you now have a glove box light. You also have Autohead lamps if you have the dual zone climate controls.
