    FREE Auto-Headlights (no parts needed)

How to get FREE Auto Headlights for your Magnum.

    written by Token

Note: You will still need to have the climate sensor installed.

    1. Remove the headlight switch from your Magnum, it just pops out using a trim tool or butter knife.

    2. Insert the end of a small screwdriver directly opposite the indicator mark on the switch and pry the knob off.

    3. Identify the detent located at the furthest right position (this is the one that will have to be removed)

    4. Using a Dremmel tool remove the detent so the switch can be turned one click further to the left (where the “A” would be. Be sure to protect the insides of the switch so no material gets into the inner workings.

    5. With the detent removed the switch will be able to turn to the “A” position

    6. Clean up the switch, and re-install the selector knob.

    7. Re-Install the switch and enjoy your FREE mod. You now have AUTO HEADLIGHTS.

8.You may have to reset the car’s computer by removing the negative battery cable and re-attaching.

If you need to do this remember to reset the ESP and Auto Window Switch (if so installed)

How does one reset ESP and Auto window (after cable re-attachment)?

    AUTO UP FRONT WINDOW
If the vehicle is equipped with the auto-up front window feature, once the battery is reconnected the door module needs to be calibrated. The door module requires calibration anytime the battery or door module has been disconnected for any length of time. To calibrate, perform the following:
    1. Connect the battery cables.
    2. Using the window switch, raise the window to the full UP position. Hold the switch in position for 1 second, then drive the window all the way down to the bottom.

Why is it necessary to remove the headlight switch?

Don't you mean auto down front window. The lawyers wouldn't approve an auto up window.

I've got auto up on both my front windows on my 06. Then again, I also have auto headlights stock.

(in case anyone cares, I've found my windows don't go auto up with the lockout is enabled)

What exactly is auto up? They go up when you get out off the car? What about the rears?

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

It's just like the auto down (one touch). One push to go down, then to go back up it's just one pull. Very useful to me since I park in a parking garage at work (window constantly up and down to swipe in).

    Only on the fronts.

    I stand corrected.

My '05 only has auto down and I have every interior option except the NAV system, sunroof & smoker's package. There is no reference to auto-up in the manual.
