    Magnum DIY custom grill

First off big thanks to Seadoo Sandi for the grill from Pay it forward!

    Now on with the show:

I started off by removing the silver ribs from the grill:

Then taking my handy-dandy dremel and a cutoff attachment I cut out the plastic bars:

Now you need to make a trip to your friendly neighbourhood rice retailer and pick up your choice of mesh. I went with black honey comb:

Now you need to cut the mesh to fit:

Once you have the fit that you like ziptie the mesh to the grill frames, you should end up with something like this:

    And here they are installed:

    Tools required:
    side cutters
    Dremel
    Cutoff wheel(s)

    Materials required:
    Grill frame
    Mesh
    Zip Ties

    A question for you,

Did you do the same grill work on the lower section of the grill?

And if so do you have any pic's of that part of the mod?

Looks cool and i'd like to see the mod on the lower part.

any idea if any of the supports on the lower grill had to be cut out or can be cut out? Just thinking of ideas that can poosibly look good.

The lower supports do not have to be cut out. They could be cut out but you loose a lot of the structural integrity of the the opening.

I have not gotten around to the lower openings yet, if I do them I'll have this amended.

did this mod today... looks great. i got some mesh from Home Depot for about $8, some metallic black rustoleum paint for $6 and some black zip ties for $2. so for about $16 and a couple hours i got a pretty good looking grille. i will take pictures in the daylight and see if i can get them on here. the hardest part was getting the screws in/out of the bumper... i had styrofoam on that reinforcement beam that was a pain in the butt. I wanted to buy the true SRT grille but its TOO expensive for me right now. In my opinion it is the BEST looking grille for this vehicle...

now i think i am going to go daytona on it and black out the crosshair but leave the dodge logo in the middle. should look pretty sick.

great mod! pretty easy! id say a 4 out 10 difficulty on an afternoons work. maybe a 3 beer.

O and i went to home depot... because O'Reillys, Advance and even Autozone did not have this mesh...
