    Auto Window Down/Up Reset Procedure.

I recently accidentally disconnected my battery in my car and noticed that my window Auto Up was no longer working. I stopped by the dealership and this is the procedure we went through to get it working again.

This is for Vehicles equipped with the Auto Window Switches (Marked "Auto" on the switch) for driver and passenger windows.

    1. Turn the key to on.
    2. Roll the window down all the way and hold for 10 seconds. (This resets the auto down)
    3. Pull the switch up and hold for 10 seconds. (This resets the auto up)

They said that if you listen very closely, you could hear a click from the switch after 10 seconds showing that it has reset.

Tada! Your windows will now be able to roll up and down with a single press of the switch.

I wish I read this before making a comment at the dealership... sadly, the service department at the dealership didn't know about this and has ordered a new window control switch.

    Thanks for the knowledge!

So the passenger door has to have the "Auto" on the switch? Mine only has the "auto" on the driver's side...Does this mean I can only get Auto up in the driver's side?

Auto up, all good again! This may be an old post, but for those of us just finding our new (new to us anyway) toys, they are still valuable posts. I was somewhat unsure this was the issue since the driver side still worked completely, and only the passenger auto up was an issue. Best guess, this happened when I recently did my Diablo update. Just enough recycle to effect it I guess. But now, seconds later, all good! The LX forum is a great community btw.

    Thanks!

So my new '06 Magnum has the auto d.s. window switch. The auto down works fine, but the auto up...not so much. So I tried the procedure while waiting for a light and there was no change. Still no auto up.

Does this mean I need to replace the switch?

You may not have Auto Up...

The wife's Magnum R/T has Auto Down, only...

Disconnected the battery this weekend to install trailer light wiring harness and noticed the auto down and up was not working. I just found this tread and tried it. It worked! Sweet.
