There are 2 different factory harnesses for a ves system.
The first one p/n 4607105AD is if you don't have factory satellite radio
The second one p/n 4607106AC if you have a factory satellite radio.

With these harnesses you just plug them in and enable ves with the starscan.(Might not have to do that) With no satellite radio the harness runs from the bracket wiring under the counsole to a white plug above the parking brake pedal.

With satellite radio you will have to run the wiring from the white plug above the parking brake pedal down behind the driver side kick panel and under the edge of the carpet between the drivers door and the drivers seat. then when you get to the b pillar, the harness splits and one side you have to run under the carpet to the console, (i ran it under the seat and the carpet utilizing the hole that is in the carpet already for access) and the other part of the harness you continue down the floor under the carpet to the rear of the passenger compartment into the trunk to plug it into the satellite reciever.

I do NOT know if these harnesses will fit 2005 models. But both of the above harnesses will just plug in, no removing pins.

There is also a 3rd harness for the dealer installed unit, (the one that comes with the kit that the installation instructions in the 1st post came from) but that harness will require you to swap pins.

    VES Headphone Replacements...

if you need an extra set, or you dont like the OEM ones, these work with the Factory VES perfect!! and I think they fit a little better too.... i have 2 sets...

plus, at 19.95 a pair, they are half the price of the OEM ones!!!

New Headphones and Remote for existing VES

Do you have to configure new headphones and/or new remote for an existing VES system to recognize them? I bought an used 2006 Chrysler 300 C HEMI with VES but headphones and remote were missing. The seller just bought them new and is about to deliver them to me.

    Hey Smoove ,

If i am reading you right , all i need is this hightlighted harness to add an oem rear ves dvd player i recently purchased to my 2006 MSRT-8 ( already having a factory installed REC nav w/ sirius ) ? The rest of the quoted post would have to be followed as well ? I thought ( was hoping ) it was more plug and play but i see i have to run these wires as well . So much for an easy mod.....lol . Right now i have an ipod cable plugged into the back of the rec unit . I still have to control it on the ipod itself but it charges it . Will i lose that if i plug in the ves add on into that port ? Thanks in advance for the help , and this post . I was doing some research so i didn't have to ask an already asked question . I also wanted to know if i could get the rear picture up front on my nav without the tvandtogo mod ( cracking open the back of the REC and soldering ) . I thought the lockpick's were more for later model mygigs but i wasn't sure ? - Mike

You will need the wiring harness and looks like the unit has seen some water.
