    Correct Automatic Lock Procedure *

Thanks to zxlwno for discovering this error in the owners manual.

The 2005 Magnum manual has it backwards between turning "Flash Lights on Lock/Unlock" on/off and "Unlock All Doors on first press." Here is the correct way.

To turn off/on "Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock":
    1. Press the UNLOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.
    2. While the UNLOCK button is pressed, (after 4 seconds) press the LOCK button. Release both buttons.

The "Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock" feature can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.

To turn off/on "Remote Unlock Driver's Door 1st":
    1. Press the LOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.
    2. While the LOCK button is pressed, (after 4 seconds) press the UNLOCK button. Release both buttons.

The "Remote Unlock Driver's Door 1st" can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.

To turn off/on "Sound Horn On Lock":
    1. Press the LOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.
    2. While the LOCK button is pressed, (after 4 seconds) press the PANIC button. Release both buttons.

The "Sound Horn On Lock" feature can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.

I tried this last procedure using the UNLOCK button and PANIC button together. It didn't seem to do anything. If anyone else finds that it changes something please let the Forum know.

    Automatic Door Locks at 15mph:

For vehicles not equipped with the EVIC, the Automatic Door Locks can be enabled or disabled by performing the following procedure:
    1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition.
    2. Cycle the ignition switch between LOCK and ON and back to LOCK 4 times ending in the LOCK position.
    3. Depress the power door lock switch to lock the doors.
    4. A single chime will indicate the completion of the programming.
    Automatic Unlock:
    1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition.
    2. Cycle the ignition switch between LOCK and ON and back to LOCK 4 times ending in the LOCK position.
    3. Depress the power door unlock switch to lock the doors.
    4. A single chime will indicate the completion of the programming.

On page 22 of my 05 300c manual, it describes the procedure to make the trunk open with only one press of the trunk button. This has not worked for me, I have tried reversing, and various combinations with no luck. Anyone know the proper buttons to push? This cannot be set in my EVIC.

automatic unlock is , when the car is put in park and the key is taken out, all doors unlock bythemselves?

is there a way to have the interior lights/map lights come on when the key is taken out, and then stay on and dim off after u get out and close the door?

i find myself at night having to park, i take the key out, and im like ok its dark, and have to open the door for the map lights to come on, to find what ever i may be taking out the car with me , my last car , the interior lights would come on when the key was removed from the igntion, would stay on for about 30 seconds then dim out..

    Thank You Haz

Does the automatic unlock do the rear doors also? I hate having someone in the back seat and having to manually unlock their doors for them.

None of the above. You just open the driver's door.

I believe this can be done but if you don't have EVIC then it's a trip to the dealership for Starscan changes.
