Since they already have a design, I think this calls for a 2012 Magnum ^_^
I remember having my pic taken beside that car at the 2003? Detroit Auto Show.
I sorta fell in love with the hood.
2006 Magnum SRT8 "HEMIWAGN"; HalfFast Performance built; OST Dyno tuned; Frank Racing Extreme Heads, Scudd Cam & Ported Intake; Paramount Performance Dominator 4400TC & Valvebody. Best 1/4: 10.898 @ 123.25 MPH, 1.577 60', 3500lbs with driver, DA -595
Well i am kinda glad the production stopped because now it will be a super sweet rare car...and if you have an SRT8 or an RT based model, in 25 or 30 years it will be a total classic...i know a guy that has a late 05 model and is keeping every part he is taking off cause it will be worth money later
yea those headlights are sick
love the built in eyelids [so it looks atleast]
Back then, what we now consider "classics" really were non-existent for the most part. Now that we have been through an era of seeing musclle cars and frame-off resto's come to life again and fetch big bucks, it's almost like people are sitting back and trying to point out which ones that is going to happen to again.
Problem is, with people "expecting" it this time around, it's almost being forced and I dont think cars of today are ever going to fetch big bucks like the muscle cars of the early 70s and prior did.
I do, however, think that a few rare cars from today will be worth a couple bucks down the road (nothing major, but will hold a steady value):
1. '96 Impala SS - Must be in top condition though
2. '08 Magnum SRT - Forget about all the current "numbered" Dodge/Chrysler products they are trying to force into limited edition status. This car will be the one LX that is worth some dough.
It would be nice to have that front turn signal light up LED orange on the bottom.
Looking at it gave me an idea to have an insert LED orange turn signal STRIPE (not series of dots) where the cutout in the front bumper is. Clear plastic would be smooth with the rest of the bumper lighting up when the turn signal is applied.
Knowing this I can only dream of something like that. I have no such tools and knowledge to do any of that.
Looking at some kick a$$ work some of the forum people can pull off maybe someone would do it.
I also totally dig the rears where the lights are removed completely and painted body color, and the actual lights are these little strips in the rear hatch.
jaw dropping awesome.
I would just want the wheels, that hood, steering wheel and the shifter assembly. I'm actually surprised that none of the aftermarket companies have made that style hood from fg or carbon fiber.
When the Magnums came out I remember thinking - I've got to figure out a way to get one of those things in my driveway - even though I didn't need or want a wagon!
I hadn't felt that way about a car in many, many years.
'00 Cobra R
'95 Corvette ZR1
'04 Porsche Carrera GT
Early Vipers+GTS+ACR+Comp Coupe
Trans Am WS6
Mercedes CLK63 AMG
Certain new Ferrari's
Other Porsche's like GT3/GT2
Inferno Red '08 300C SRT-8's
These new Boss 302's might go up in value later on too...
Just a few that come to mind...I'll think of more
'11 Mustang GT 5.0...Kona Blue...6spd Manual...Couple power mods...
I wonder why did they chancel those headlights?
Looking through some old threads; anyone know what happened to this car? In a museum somewhere or
was it scrapped?
