Wifes First Mod To Charger

I wish I could say it was cool, but unfortunately it was NOT. The wife was driving home from some XMAS celebrating at her grandfathers (where she had been pulled over by the police several hours earlier) when she hit something on the freeway. She doesn't know what she hit. She never saw it and only heard it. Luckily she is fine! The whole front fascia, hood, front right quarter panel, both doors, roof, and windshield will all need to be repainted or repaired. You couldn't see the damage if I took a pic from far away. Everything is pitted so touch up paint aint gonna cut it. It's at the dealer already. Gonna be a week. They quoted me $2,800!!! The windshield even has pits in it. I'm thinkin she hit something metal that shredded? I'm not gonna do the lights as they are $300 each. Just kind of a big bummer as the car has $1600 miles on her.

Just kidding!!!!! If it's pitted, that's weird. Animals wouldn't do that I don't think. Big-ass chunk of ice falling off of a tree maybe???

::edit:: You're in CA... prolly not ice. I have no idea then. Price sounds right though.

Def not ice. It was 75 at my house today, lol. I have no idea what she hit. Nails or something metal. There was multiple scratches and tons of pits all over. The front took it hard. Depressing...

Sorry to hear about your CSRT8, but at least the Mrs. is alright. Not too sure what to think about what you described. Any pics of the damage?
Why was she pulled over by the cops?

Was she behind a semi? With the snow in the seirra's it could have dropped a big chunk of snow/ice/sand.

One of those hit the front of my truck and left about 100 pin head sized pits in the bumper and under fascia (right down to the metal). I saw it come off the truck, it hit the hwy and shattered into about a billion pieces and all of them hit me

Absolutely correct on the wifey about her being okay. Thanks! And I've totally freaked out on her for one little scratch on my Envoy, lol. Now this...I just gave her a hug and told her we'd take it to the shop and get her fixed. The wife started balling.

I didn't take any pics. Happened last night. Once I checked the car over I was depressed and didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I swung by the dealer today to snap some pics. They already did quite a bit of sanding. If you look at the radiator and windshield you can see all the speckles.
