Who wants a stainless firewall cover that fits?!?!

I spoke with American Car Craft, the company that makes the stainless engine bay dress-up panels for the LX's. I brought to their attention the fact that the part they offer for the 5.7L doesn't fit right because of the cutout they left in the middle (works fine w/ the 5.7L plastic engine cover). Hi Todd,

I just talked to the fabricator about it and he says he thought that the 300C would fit but he would like to see a picture of what you are describing that you saw (the links that you attached do not bring me to a picture just a sign in page). He designs all the firewalls for every application that we do and he feels the same way that it is an important part of the engine dress-up for the engines overall appearance. He would like to look into this matter further please send us a picture of the 300C that you are referring and also of your engine compartment if possible to so he can go from there.

So here's what I need. Pictures of your SRT engine bay. The prettier, the better, but even stock it's pretty clear that this cover would make a world of difference. Any pics you have of the firewall area, either straight on from the front of the car or from the side, would be extra helpful. Don't be shy here!!! I think we need this thing to become available for us!!!

Okay our fabricator looked at these pictures and the panel that you see there is what he came up with so that it would be a universal panel for both the 5.7 and the SRT 8 engines. BUT he could design a more specific firewall to the SRT 8 if he can get one here in our shop in Florida. Are you in some sort of a club or group that you can possibly get a candidate here for him to make a prototype off of?

1 hr north of Tampa in Spring Hill. They need the car for a business day, basically. They're also willing to look at doing different fender covers to correct a mounting issue and to close off the ugly coolant reservoir for the many of us that are running aftermarket intakes.

They don't make one for the firewall (at least Carbon by Design doesn't). You mean the radiator brace thinger cover?

OK Folks, the appointment is made for fabricator to come up with a firewall for the 6.1. They are unable to work on it until the end of October, so we'll be dropping our SRT off the last week in October. I told them that if they have an opening sooner by all means call and we can have the car down there in a 1/2hr.

So Until October........!!

Will Keep ya posted if they call for an earlier appt. Hopfully by November the SRT's will have the firewall and fender skirts that fit correctly!
