    Vredestein - My next tire

Howdee from the OC tried this tire and he proclaimed its grip better than that of the F1. Wet weather handling should be close to the GSD3's (my favorite wet tire). European car magazines rated this tire over UHP tires from Michelin, Goodyear and Pirelli - pretty compelling.

    Here's the website:

    http://www.vredestein.com/Banden_Ban...ionID=47263300

    Here's an ebay seller:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/275-4...QQcmdZViewItem

He quoted me $745 shipped for 275/40/20's. Also posted a picture. Crazy tread pattern, but once you read the logic behind it, it makes sense.

Aren't you and I both on the 452's? The problem with these Falken's is the damned tread life. I'm going to have to work real hard to kill these within 4 months. I believe I'm up to the task.

They do have them in the SUV section. I would think the weight of our vehicles might make this tire a good choice...but I'm no expert!

New Ultrac SUV Sessanta available now
Last month, Vredestein expanded the Ultrac Sessanta range with the new Ultrac SUV Sessanta, Vredestein’s ultra high-performance tyre for high-performance Sport Utility Vehicles. Thanks to its extra wide tread, double rayon carcass layer and strong belt, the Ultrac SUV Sessanta provides even better road holding, higher load capacity and even greater stability. The level of comfort so typical of an SUV is also simultaneously maintained in the best possible way. The tyre was designed by the renowned design house Giugiaro Design, which also gives the Ultrac SUV Sessanta a unique and completely modern appearance.

Vredestein is immediately positioning the new Ultrac SUV Sessanta strongly within the market by offering it in twelve different sizes from the outset.

    235/65 ZR 17 108 V XL 275/45 ZR 19 108 Y XL 315/35 ZR 20 110 Y XL
    255/55 ZR 18 109 W XL 285/45 ZR 19 107 W 265/35 ZR 22 102 Y XL
    255/55 ZR 19 111 W XL 275/45 ZR 20 106 Y XL 295/30 ZR 22 103 Y XL
    255/50 ZR 19 107 W XL 275/40 ZR 20 106 Y XL
    255/50 ZR 20 109 W XL

The new Ultrac SUV Sessanta from Vredestein is available now. Vredestein will gradually expand the number of available sizes.

I would think that they would entrap water as there are no relief slots to pump water out. Definately like to hear some feedback if you buy them!

thought the same thing...but if you look at the length of the center treads...looks like once the water is pumped to the back of the long tread and the tire rotates to that point, it will be gone...length of the tread should take care of it...the GSD3 have a shorter tread and do need the relief...I have the GSD3 on my mustang and they are awesom in the rain.

Sounds interesting & I'll be looking forward to the feedback too - although not sure I'm too hot on 275s all the way around. Might be more interested if they come out with some smaller ones for the front (either 245 or 255/45s) - that would look pretty sharp I would think.

Yes, if you go to their website they quote a European car magazine test where they topped all challengers in both wet and dry testing.
