thumbs up to SRT owners

A few weeks a go I was driving westbound of 60 freeway at about 8 o'clock here in Los Angeles. And noticed this Charger SRT 8 in the number 3 lane just cruising and minding its own business. Since I have this strange attraction to other LX cars, I sped up and darted through traffic to get a close up look and slowly passed. Then there was a reaction that i did not expect, this car changed lanes jump behind me and then when the lane opened up passed me and as I was being passed he gave me thumbs up. I waved back I don't think he saw because my lights probably obstructed the my windshield. I thought that was a great gesture and I made me feel good. Since I have felt kind of bad because I was not really able to reply.

Hopefully this particular individual is on this forum and reads this.

If he is I send back a thumbs up to him and all others who drive an SRT no matter where they are or which SRT they drive. And hopefully one day I can become one of you.

Totally with you! Had the same thing happen to me last night. Saw a SuperBee across the way at a stoplight. He rolled his window down flickered his brights a couple times and gave me the "wassup" wave. We both tore ass when the light went green.

One of those cool, silly moments that makes you glad you bought the car.

I gave the thumbs up to a guy in an '05 Inferno RT Magnum yesterday on the 401. I always look and if I see the other person look, I always give a thumbs up. Did it a few days back to a guy with his family in a Charger with a 3.5L in Inferno. He smiled, pointed at the HEMI badge on the side and gave me two back! Since we were at a light, I let him see it go by hammering it... Next light he was all smiles and his wife was shaking her head at him. LOL!

I can't tell if they're loooking or not because of the window tints. But I wave or thumb up or flash lights all the time at other LXs.

Me too! However, almost no one around here pays any attention... apparently to them it's "just a car." DUH!

It's really like a give and take. I try to give the thumbs up any chance I get. It does seem to come back to you. Thumbed a Tor-Red SRT8 Maggie and a Sublime R/T yesterday. Gotta love these rides.

it's like when I had my Vette in the 70's. Everyone waved at everyone.

It's good to have a car again that other owners are freindly to each other. The only problem now is the tinted windows... They don't help.
