I ordered a SRT8 Magnum and received a VON # from the dealer. Is there a way to call and find out from Chrysler if the unit's order status has changed? The dealer is not much help...

I tried to call the number listed and it must have changed. When I try to enter the various numbers... the system ask for an extension number?

You can go to http://www.bramptonassembly.com/board/index.php . This is a web site put up by the employees at the Brampton, Canada assmbly plant. The people that will actually be building your car. There you will see a link to Private Quarters. You can make a donation to support this web site and give them your VIN# and actually correspond with the people that will be "laying hands" on your car.
Now, I'm not too sure how much info they can give you regarding actual delivery times etc. and my info is from what I have gleaned from visiting their site. I doubt they can tell you when your status changes either.
Check it out anyway as there is some interesting stuff available on their "general discussion" forum anyway.

I received the VON # the same day I ordered the vehicle

The dealer should have given you a print-out confirming your order and that should have a VON#. I believe you then will get a VIN# once Dodge confirms the order. You can't track a VON#. I believe this is correct.

Got my von# when I ordered...Watched the sales manager enter the order and he had the VON# after the order was entered.

Thanks for the input, I will give them a day or so and see if they have a von or vin, now they are only allocated for one, Im not that guy, does that mean I wont see this car ?
