    SRT Track Experience for Canadians-DCX survey

    My wife took a call tonight from a survey company for Daimler Chrysler Canada.

    The asked if we would be interested in attending a SRT TE even if we had to pay (Note to US owners--the SRT TE is NOT included in our sticker price up here).

    Of course we said YES YES YES (and our money is where our mouth is since we had already signed up and paid for the watkins glen TE)

    They said most people are saying yes and would be willing to pay up to $250.

    So there may be hope for us Canadian buyers who are not able to travel to the US to attend.

    I'd like to see one at Mosport... I haven't driven that track since 1974 on a buddy's brand new Kawasaki H1. I still smile when I think about it. We went up there and there were two guys painting a guard rail.

    "Hey, mind if we take a run around the track?"

    "We didn't see you.... Have fun!"

    It was freakin' awesome! Did a few laps and left with big grins.

    It would blow my mind to relive that in the Magnum! (Or a Viper, Charger, 300, Cherokee, etc...)

    yeah that would be INCREDIBLE -- and they have a number of schools there so the facility would be just fine.

    C'mon DCX ! lets go burn some rubber and learn to drive better!

    I haven't been to a race there since the 70's... OMG!

    Seemed like it was tradition to see at least one car beaten and burned. Pretty well a party every race. I miss the raw sound of the CanAm cars tearing up the track like wild beasts.

    Can't remember the last time I was at Mosport?

    My last cart race was in '85... Over 20 years ago.... Feeling old....

    I need to get back on the track. A budy told me that you can get on Shannonville for $135??? Note sure if this is true? I will investigiate.

    Jaak- you went around that course on a bike? that had to be wild. better than well, you know, uh, beer -- yeah that's it...

    Marmaduke: never to late -- have you seen the new arrive and drive competitive karting they have now? called F1-K check cameron motorsports.com they use a development track on the mosport grounds. My daughter and I did a bit of it last year (but other commitments meant we did not finish the season). Speed from a different perspective: 70mph with your butt 1/2" above the road.

    Mosport is a great circuit. I raced there regularly for several seasons, along with St. Jovite and the Glen. Ran club sedans as well as some Trans-Am in a 'vette. Mosport is a fast track and is brutal on tires.

    Never give the competition an inch
