    SRT-8 Magnums available to order!

I just got a call from a dealer I had contacted up in the northwest, letting me know that the computer came up with the SRT-8's yesterday afternoon. Heres the deal. There are three option groups.

Option Group#1 includes auto temp control a/c, universal garage door opener, heated seats & cargo organizer.

Option Group #2 has an upgraded Kicker 276 watt sound system with a 100 watt Kicker sub-woofer and 11 Kicker speakers & a security system.

Option Group #3 has the Sirius radio, navigation system and the U-connect.

The other options are the power moon roof, & side air bags. The MSRP on the car is $42,495.00 with every option above included. Says that "sold" orders will get priority over "stock" orders and offered to place an order for me @ MSRP. I am going to call the local guy I have been working with and will let you know when the order is placed or any other relevant info.

My dealer gave me the same price...my birthday is monday and I am off to order it. I love my black RT but I am sick of trying to keep it clean..probly going with the Artic Silver..or maybe the Red.

    Red is extra.

    cabo,
I guess the red is an upcharge. Don't know how much though but it can't be a ton. I think I had my numbers mixed on my original post. Should have read $42,945.00 including every available option including the moon roof.

Have not heard from my local dealer @ 5PM PDT and I called a dealer in central Calif. and was told I'd be better off ordering from a larger volume dealer as their allocation was 1 car and it may take several months to get it. I was working with the internet sales person. Maybe the SM balked @ MSRP. I don't know. I'll give my local guy until tommorow AM and then I''m ordering it from the NW dealer and fly up there and drive it back when it arrives. A nice 1000 mile break-in/road-trip.

Go get 'em guys! (Gals too)

I look forward to seeing one, and hopefully driving one also. I am so happy with the RT, I will hang tough, as I do 30k+ business miles a year, and the IRS only pays the $0.34 per mile or so, so I'm already taking a hit.
I can get in plenty of trouble already with the RT, when the Gibson exhaust is installed soon, maybee more trouble.
    This should be interesting!!

I called the salesman I talked to three weeks ago. As I expected, he didn't know the SRT-8 was in the computer so he'd have to get back to me. He did call back and said he'd have to get with the sales manager before we did a pre-order. Hopefully, they're not just going to figure out how much to gouge me, but if they do, I'll tell them to give me a call when they want to talk MSRP.

Interestingly, I was at the Mercedes dealer having the last service on my SLK32 done before the warranty expires. In the showroom happened to be a black E55 AMG wagon. Sticker price was $97K. Holy crap! My wife's '04 E320 wagon was $48K. The E55 is a nice car for sure, and wicked fast, but I just don't see the upgrades as being worth $50K. Plus, I just don't see that car as being in the $100,000-automobile class.

    SRT8 ordered

Today I ordered a Magnum SRT8 loaded in silver. The sticker price is $42,945.00 for all the options. The dealer is not adding any up charge to the MSRP price. I will be trading in my 05 Magnum RT for the SRT8.

No gas tax on the unit either.

    Regards to all....

Trooper: Nice to know about the GG Tax.

Brian: Hang in there it looks like almost all the dealers around here are willing to order at MSRP. you should have no trouble shopping dealers.

I asked my salesman to get more information on the options and prices call me back. He called and gave me a list similar to what people have posted already, but all mixed up. He also said that daytime running lights were a separate option. I'm thinking this guy doesn't know what's going on, but he claims he got the information from one of the the "purchasing guys". He also claimed he didn't know the price and wan't me to come in and talk to the "purchasing guy" to make the order. He also said they need a non-refundable deposit of between $2K and $5K.

Something tells me they're going to try to stick it to me on the price when I show up. I'm going to call the dealer that works with the Costco auto program and see what they say before I go in, though.

    Brian,

Call him back and tell him that if they want anything more than MSRP. Tell you won't come in if they can't do that as you don't want to waste his time or yours.

    Brian,
Here's the deal. I just copied this off another post I made to save time.
    KK

Here are the Fleet Wholesale Prices on these items. I am paying FWP + $1000.00 which makes it $41,322.00 for an SRT-8. Have a print out with these prices and a VON#. I have placed a $1000.00 deposit on the car. I should have a VIN# some time next week. I'm squirting!

So what I'm reading in this and the other similar threads is that you might be able to order one without ANY of the special group packages but you MIGHT be able to get the heated seats as an individual item. Is that correct?

    Tango,
I spoke to a salesman in Portland that said you didn't have to buy all components in Option 3 which is the nav, sirius and u-connect but did not say anything about the other 2 option packages. I assumed that you could not.
