    Thumbs down SRT-8 Delayed?!

Just got back from Glenn E. Thomas Dodge in Long Beach from 3M change and check. This is the only place that seemed to tell truth about ordering and delivery on RT's that I tried, and where I bought! They say SRT-8 has now been put on hold or delay, and they're not sure why yet! Hope not true for those waiting....waiting not fun!!!!!!!

Not sure why, because the 300 SRT-8 has been in production and on sale for a little bit now, and seems to be doing fine. Maybe it's supplier related.

Last weekend I e-mailed about 50 dealers in MI, NM, NV, OR, and N. CA, plus a couple in S. CA. I got back responses from most but I am getting conflicting info. What I was trying to do first and foremost was to find a dealer that would sell me the cars at MSRP. No mark-up! I have found a few but most want $5K or more over window. The confusing thing is that a couple of dealers claim to be getting car by the end of May or the first part of June. Most say that they will not be able to even order until the later part of April or into May. I am waiting to hear back from 2 or 3 dealers in Central Ca. and as soon as I get a firm deal with someone I'll post that info. You do not have to pay more than MSRP but you have to be willing to go out of your area in some cases, especially here in S. Ca!

    Post So Sorry

Hey Ron, Sorry to hear of your bad luck/news. I have two loaded SRT-8's of the 300 make here in NEW YORK, would you be willing to get one from the other side of the country? You must also ask yourself if a grand a month is worth the wait for were you have been looking, and even if they will do what you want they can't get them (for some time anyway) and they probably wont take what you offer after waiting so long just to get one. Do you really think that you are the only person offering msrp? I have some jerk solid at ten k over sticker here and some jerk will buy it sooner or later. The problem is that Chrysler isn't going to let what happened to the P.T. cruiser happen to the lx platform. BOTTOM LINE!! 50,000 before tax have it home buy next friday BLACK OR SILVER STEEL Sorry for the rambleing but I to like to know where my place in the automotive world really is "heiniken eyes and old E pocket"

If you want to sell things on the forum, become a supporting vendor. If you want to sell things while being a weenie, good luck.

Hey Kenny, whats the deal, are you doing a GB on SRT's now? :D

Are you trying to rip people off on this forum? $50k might have been reasonable back in April 2005 when the post you're replying to was originally made, but nobody here is paying over MSRP for a 300C SRT8. They're everywhere! No need to go across the country.
