    SRT-8 cold air intake?

Does anyone know if any company makes a cold air intake for the SRT-8?

Will the one from mopar fit? I thought i remembered hearing something about Mopar putting the CAI on their SRT-8.. for something.. Horable short term memory loss. Anyone have any information? Thanks..

The "One Lap of America" 300c and the "Newfoundland Targa" 300c and Charger SRT8's used the Mopar CAI.

Besides the Mopar CAI there is also: K&N, Airraid, DUBair, and Hennessy. But, I think i'm going to get the Hennessey Ram Air CAI if I ever get around to it. The Hennessy pulls air from down lower to the road where it's cooler instead from the hot engine compartment. Even though there hasn't been any substantial gains from any of the CAI's, I still think I will get one for the slight chance it works better at speed than sitting on a dyno during tests.

Here's the Hennessy CAI - it'll look sweet polished

That intake is just to expensive.. I could probally get some tubing bent for alot cheaper than what Hennessy wants... Not a bad looking intake though, just to expensive for me.

The service guy I spoke with said that the SRT8 CAI from Mopar is different form the standard hemi. Apparently the 5.7 one fits, but they've had trouble with the connector breaking. Make sure you get part # p4510947, specific for the 6.1.

I took the Volant from my RT and moved it to the SRT with no problems.

I wouldn't buy a metal CAI intake anyway due to heat soak. Plastic is a MUCH better insulator against heat.

Hey guys FWIW JLT makes a really nice CAI, however I'm not sure if they have come out with a system for your model yet, but maybe something worth looking into. The owner is really pro active towards car people.
