Chrysler Prices 300C SRT-8 FROM $39,995

The fastest four-door FROM the Chrysler GROUP will cost $39,995 when it goes on sale in the spring, the company announced this week. The 300C SRT-8 will be powered by the new 425-hp, 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 announced late last year by the American division of DaimlerChrysler. Chrysler is promising some hot performance FROM the bahn-burning four door: a 0-60 mph run in the low 5-second range is in the offing, as is a quarter-mile time of less than 14 seconds. Upgrades for the performance edition of the sedan include bigger anti-roll bars, revised springs and shocks, Brembo four-piston brakes at all four wheels, and and 20-inch forged aluminum wheels shod with Goodyear F1 tires. Leather trim, a six-CD changer, and steering wheel controls are also included in the base price.
