rk sport hood did not fit my SRT8

Just a heads up and this is not a critisism of RKsport.

I like their Viper hood, and ordered one. Arrived seemingly okay; however the body shop could not get it to fit. It hit the core support and despite lowering it the aligment could not be made to work. There was about a 1 inch disparity in alignment from left to right and low spot in the middle of the edge of the driver's side. I could literally slide my finger between the gap on the passenger's side between the headlight and hood. We played with the hinges, the bumpers, etc. No luck!

Rksport has been very freiendly to me; however they are pretty insistant on the problem being the body shop. Well, after seeing it tonight I know it's not the shop. They are asking me to pay the return shipping of $277.00, and I told them I don't think that's right.

Rksport says this core support issue has been a rare occurance due to the assembly process and that it can be addressed by adjusting, but evidently not in my case.

I like their hood but wish some other options would come on line. The MSRT8 hood is too plain.
Bottom line IMO is that either the hood I received is a bad one, or they just don't fit the SRT8 like the R/T.

Either way, paying the $277.00 shipping should not be my responsibility. I'll keep you informed and hopefully they step up and do the right thing.

Well either the car to car varinances are really significant or I have a bad one.

$277 for shipping? Man those guys love sticking it to us. They are in SoCal and me in NorCal, $160 for shipping.

When I sold to someone on the east coast, he found a shipper for $150!

The folks at RK are chumps, as I've said before, if they were selling air I wouldn't buy it.
