PLUM CRAZY SRT-8, Please help solve the mystery

Well, it looks like the mystery continues: so far no word from anyone about the Plum SRT8 questions:

Are they going to be numbered?
If so when could we look for the plaques. (the last rumor I heard was they were to be sent to the dealer, but I don't know of any confirmed that has received one.)
If there are no plaques forthcoming, I would really like to know if there is any way to find out the production order, I'll start producing number plaques for those who want them
Does anyone have a firm number on how many were produced?

I hope someone knows someone who really knows, ever since the Plum SRT8's were going into production there was no firm answer to these questions, I would appreciate anyone help with this.

I am sure they will be numbered. there are only 500 made.....

Good lick on the production order.... VIN's are not in order usually.....it is teh Build sequence number that you need to follow.....
also, these dash bezels can be put on in any order with the dash. these are sequenced at an offsite sequencing center and shipped to the plant on an hourly basis. these are pulled out of the racks by option and color needed. there is no way that they would also look for a 1 of 500 production order and then build them in order..... heck, these plaques may even be added at the end of line in final, or even off site in a holding yard after assembly....

I hate to be the one to tell you this John.

But DC has mass produced approximately 8 million units and plans on providing one free plum crazy CSRT with every purchase of a Mopar exhaust system starting next year.

But the initial plan was to sell a few at an exuberate cost to cover expenses.

I am so happy you are helping them achieve their goal. And I have already ordered my new exhaust system to be delivered on January the 1st and will be making space in my garage with great anticipation.

    Thanks bud!

From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.

The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

Cam, along with the space you make in the garage with great anticipation,

We can fill the mezzanine level of the garage with lofty expectations.
They come in Plum Crazy as well.

wish that was the case however, the cars have been built and delivered to the dealers and a lot of them are sold already, (mine has been in my garage since early this month.) None were produced with the plaque, so the plaques are not on the dash yet, this was a plaque that was to be sent to the dealer after the car were delivered, or so we have been told. There were 300 or less produced of the Plum SRT8 just don't have a final number.

I'd guess that Go Mango might be able to answer this; he works at the Brampton plant. He's been helpful with this kind of "from the source" info before. Give him a shout.

They're not numbered, other than VIN. Only the Daytonas are numbered.

There's less of my car than any one Daytona and it's not numbered either.

That would be very disappointing (trys to be mellow) if what we were told turns out to be untruthful (still trying to be mellow) and we don't get our number badges.

armadillo: Firstly, I can never tell any information that may be deemed confidential by Chrysler, but seeing as I don't really know the answers here is my 2 cents worth
I have never heard about the PC SRT8's being numbered and if you did go ahead and make your own plaques, well that's like adding a SRT8 sticker to a 3.5.....a nice idea but really, it means nothing.

Thanks Junior, but all of my "from the source" is usually just common knowledge

Jaak: When you bought your car, DCX decided to add $50,000 to the cost of having a car "Just like Jaak'" that's why there are so few.

Sorry I'm not helping much but we are off work until Thursday therefore I can't even ask the plant manager

Well that comment was a bit tongue in cheek but the comparison is a bit off, a SRT8 badge on a 3.5 and this are the same thing
Second I would never ask you to revel anything "confidential" it isn't that big a deal and I am sure that nothing in the post or my request has anything to do with "confidential information"

It is not a big deal - I'm sure your time is more important than a matter like this, I am sure that because you never heard that they were being numbered that must be the case.
    Thanks for your time.

I'm sorry that I couldn't answer your question, but it is a known fact that DCX does monitor these sites and I do like my job. I know of one person that USED to be online that did get fired for revealing stuff, no matter how trivial we may think the information is, DCX will use the mighty whip unsparingly, and with a huge smile. It has nothing to do with my "time" being more important.
Because I didn't hear about them being numbered means nothing also. I am a mere peon and we get most of our information from the media.

There were only 299 Plum SRT8's made as 2007 models.
