    new rocker panel cladding installed

I mentioned this on the SRT8 OC board, but I lost the driver's side rocker panel cladding early last week.

Well, since the dealer could not find any owner-attributable reason to blame me for the damage, they repaired it under warranty. The new one feels firmly attached, and I have absolutely no idea what caused the original to detach itself.

I would admonish all of you to check these cosmetic pieces to make sure none are loose. Needless to say, I feel very fortunate that the incident cost me nothing but some time.

I lost mine in a slight mishap with a speed bump. It really does not take much for these things to come off.

Your RT has a body kit? Is it aftermarket? My "old" RT had a metal door sill that wrapped under the body and was spot welded underneath. No plastic.

My SXT has the plastic rocker panel cover.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

Rocker panel = plastic held on by some plastic pop rivets.

I have read that it's a known issue

My 2006 300C has a loose drivers side rocker panel just waiting to come off.

The plastic pins that hold it to the body are weak.

It is normally covered under warranty unles you hit something to cause it.

I'm thinking of goung in now and ordering one, as mine's demise is imminent.
