    NAPA 1085 any good?

I beleive NAPA refers to this number 1085 as the Gold Filter, price is around $10.00. Are they OK for use in the SRT 6.1?

You know if i was going to go with a aftermarket filter, I'd go with a WIX. They, IMO are the best filters made. They are made by the Dana/Spicer coorportation and if there good enough for 2 to 3 thousand + horsepower engines they'd be my choice for the SRT.

Make sure ist got a baffle or check valve.

NAPA stuff is A1. However Walmart has the Mopar filters cheap. Me, heck I use the Frams that everybody badmouths. I have driven close to 2 million miles, used Frams, never had any engine problems. Use good oil, I'm sure the Mopar filters are fine.

Wix makes the NAPA Gold filters and they are the same. Is this statement correct?

I'm running the 1085's on my 5.7. The NAPA Gold's are quality filters. Sometimes NAPA has them on sale for @ $4.00.

No problem you can't go wrong with a wix. Although you may want to check out O'reilly's they sell Wix and Napa will have a couple dollar markup, they always do. But if Napa's your store. Have at it.

I see you have a Bee, they tried to get me to trade my magnum in on one. Theres not enough room for my dogs or it would've been a done deal. #993 of 1000. what a beautiful rig!

The last NAPA Gold filter I bought was something like $5.80 at my friendly neighborhood NAPA store. That was the regular price, not on sale.

I just checked the NAPA web site: $6.09 for NAPA Gold #1085

Thanks JHS, that is what I paid today from my local NAPA, on the invoice $10.00 something was the list price. I'm changing about every 4000 miles and it was a hassle and expensive to get the Mopar's, so I switched today, and then had a little buyers remorse setting in, but I feel better about it now.

www.fleetfilter.com $2.94ea. Yes the NAPA filter is a repackaged Wix.
I am a Wix distributor and the $2.94ea is less than my cost of about $3.25ea for a Wix.
