More Crazy Deals on Charger & Mag SRT's!!!

Performance Dodge, in Lincoln, NE, had an ad in Saturdays paper advertising $9,000 off MSRP on all 2007 Charger SRT-8 and 2007 Magnum SRT-8's in stock. I called them inquiring about this and they told me they had 3 Magnum SRT's (Steel Blue, TorRed, and Silver) and 11 Charger SRT's (TorRed, Black, and Silver). They were also advertising the fact that each car includes the SRT Track Experience.

Sounds like some more SRT's are going to be hitting the roads soon!

Well... Woodhouse sure got rid of there's quickly... but sounds like this is a nicer selection.

The Steel Blue and Silver Magnums are Opt Grp 1 only, like the one I got. The Tored MSRT8 is Opt Grp 1 and 2, plus side curtains and sunroof.

The Chargers all appear to be optioned the same, Opt. Grp1, plus sunroof... the only diff. is that the red ones have the $225 tagged on for the color. And then there's the additional $2100 gas guzzle tax that the Magnum's don't "enjoy."

The last red one has something additional (probably Opt. Grp 2, i.e., Kicker system), but the site won't show me the sticker.

Why all this in Nebraska? Is DCX using the area as a dumping ground?
Kind of bizarre -- don't think we'll see $9K off '07's anytime soon in Texas.

BTW, I've seen an SRT8 GC in Steel Blue -- it's a great color, and nice and dark right next to Brilliant Black.

The salesman at woodhouse kind of hinted to me that there was a chance other dealers could 'figure out' how they got their deal.

Chalk it up to dealer voodoo, I guess. My problem is, dumping SRT8 Magnums makes its nearly impossible to get a good trade on my R/T, so Im kind of stuck.

I guess I could buy the SRT and then sell the R/T privately, but..whoosh. Theres a real potential pitfall there if I didnt get a buyer in enough time.

Lincoln's only 860 miles from me --

Nice of DCX to allow, and for dealers to follow through with screwing those that had the faith to buy them new at full price.

Anyone who has tried to sell or trade an SRT8 in the past few months knows how bad it is out there right now, our cars are worth SQUAT. Dealers claim that they can buy SRT8 Magnums right now for about $25k - $28k fully loaded at auction.

Hmm, so is that 9k off sticker? Or 9k off the base MSRP? Because the woodhouse ones were coming out to something like $28,900 (plus $200 fee), which is more than 9k off sticker.

The steel blue one with 9k off 'sticker' would come out to like 30 even, which while very good, is not as good a deal as the woodhouse one.

Might be worth it for someone to give a call. Me, I'd take too much of a beating on my trade.
