    LTs for a decent price?

Is there any out there? I keep seeing them for $1200+ which seems stupidly expensive for headers. For that price I would rather get a torque stall converter.

1200 is actually cheap... 1500+ is more like it. a set of brand new Kooks went on ebay last week for $960, it killed me not to get them.

For a good set of LT you are going to pay $1100+,not unless you catch a set off EBay or on the Forums for cheap...

Is it even worth the $1100 over the stocks? Or even worth the extra $600 over shorties? That kind of money liek I said a torque converter or ported heads and a cam for a lil more.

Doing heads without headers is like only washing the left side of the car... you have to (or should) do the whole air system, filter to tips, before you do engine work, or you won't be getting the full benefit from that work.

Now if I did the heads with just shorties would that be fine? Or do I need to stick to the LTs pretty much?

The 6.1 comes with shortie headers from the factory.

You don't NEED to do anything. Longtubes will allow for higher peak horsepower. Shorties will give you slightly more low-end torque. Your call. If it's going to be a 1/4 mile queen, maybe shorties are sufficient. If you plan on doing road tracks or "spirited driving", I'd suggest longtubes.

Man I searched all over. There really aren't many options for the SRT8. If you had a 5.7 there'd be a some options for what you're looking for. Just not enough options for the 6.1 yet.

My last mod for a minute may be longtubes since I have the cam. Once we get the tuning piece done, I MAY be on the mod sidelines for a while. Stock market is TOO volatile right now to make any large purchases so I may play it close to the vest. Stock market drops, belts tighten and jobs start to get cut......
