Kooks Longtubes Now Available With Offroad Pipes!

You can now purchase the Kooks long tube headers with offroad pipes (of course they will only be for "offroad use" right? ) or with highflow cats. Current part numbers and pricing is -

    6905-CC Kooks 1 7/8" x 3" Stainless Steel Headers w/ 3" Metallic Catted Connection w/ O2 Extension Kit (2-18" and 2-6") $1579.99

We are currently running a sale that covers all of the Kooks and Dynatech long tube headers (SRT-8 headers available soon!). You can add Jet Hot Coating to either brand for an additional $125.00 (that is a $125.00 savings!). Don't need the coating? Just give us a call to receive a quote for the packages by themselves!

If I already have the Magnaflow High Flow cats will they bolt up to the Kooks Headers?

The headers come down much further than stock manifolds or shorty headers so the Magnaflow cats won't mate up to those.

We've made a change to the pricing. It's better for everyone to go with the sale price for the headers and add the coating at the regular price of $249.99 so that is how we will be pricing them through the end of this sale.

    Sale ends on Sunday!

    NO cats = CEL?

How are they going to stop the CEL from coming on?

They should be coated both inside and out.

Is that $125 figure for both sides, and is the ceram-chrome among the choices for that price?

No 02 simms for these right now. I'm waiting to hear when/if they will be available. The standard coating is a bright silver, almost like chrome. You can see the reflection of the car at the top of the header pictured. The coating isn't sprayed all the way through but does go inside the openings.

A little more info about the coating -

JET-HOT develops, produces and applies a variety of coatings. Properties of the various coatings include insulation, corrosion resistance, abrasion and impact resistance as well as lubricity. All are applied at one of their regional factories through a meticulous, multi-step process including: thermal degreasing, abrasive-blast stripping with virgin aluminum oxide, double-coating (inside and out on headers), high temperature curing, custom packaging for return shipping, and quality-assurance controls during every phase of the procedure.

Their coatings fall into the following groups:

JET-HOT 1300™ - Exclusive formula works beautifully on new or used parts at temperatures up to 1,300°F. Sterling™ is our most popular finish, this high-luster coating, containing silver powder, shares the brilliance of chrome with the subtlety of nickel. It provides the most brilliant appearance in high-temp, high-tech coatings while delivering major performance advantages. Sterling™ is also an extremely easy coating to keep clean. The same basic formula is available in matte black, blue and cast-iron gray.

JET-HOT 2000™ - Formulated for very high temperatures, this rugged coating protects substrates up to 2,450°F, heat levels sometimes encountered in Rodding and Off-Road applications. Available in black, blue or grey.

    Tom,

Address my questions back in post 10 if you would.

What are the negatives to the JH 2000? Is Sterling an option in it? Added cost?

What is your recommended coating for an enthusiast? (At least one track day each year on a racing circuit, high speed cruises, frequent trips to the strip.)

    Off road pipe upgrade?

If you already have the headers with cats will the off road pipes be available seperately?
