Jaak's Mag SRT8/borla at full chat

one word: NASCAR

He gunned it and passed me at speed on the 407 today and out loud, to myself, in the car i yell "NASCAR!!"

Jaak has the mopar/CORSA on his 2006 Mag SRT8, and today he had the TCM TSB done.

Man that thing sounds fantastic! I was in the '68 belair taking it easy so he slowed a few times then gunned it. The maggie kicked down, the symphony started and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Did this 5 or 6 times. A memorable automotive experience if there ever was one.

I know we haven't met in person yet but if you are going for another fly by the shop or linking up with Jaak sometime soon (like next week?), let me know. It would be great to finally start meeting you guys soon.

Man I keep hearing about the Corsa and it sounds like the one to get. What would be good would be to compare my Billy Boat to Jaak's Corsa one day at full throttle with someone behind recording each.

I haven't been able to get out to a M&G yet due to my insane work schedule but next one for sure ...I hope ;-)

It'll be great to meet you, hopefully soon. I updated the hood thread this evening. The shop is closed next week so that won't work (plus I'm in the office all week too).

Some sound clips at speed would be great -- now any audio recording experts out there? how can we get a recording of moving cars without a lot of wind noise?

I'd love to see the billy boat; maybe even an impromptu M+G at a tim hortons one weekend....

LOL! I never expected a thread on this, but yeah, hemiwagn's smile was as wide as the grille on his Bel Air! And I kept getting the thumbs up.

Of course, I was having fun putting it in autostick and just gunning it, letting the new software make the shifts at 6100...

I was thinking it might be interesting to put the scan tool on with the updated firmware, just to record what it does. Would be cool to then do that on hemiwagn's Charger as a comparison.

I wonder if the PC could record the audio at the same time??? Hmmmm Could even hang a microphone out back, perhaps.

I just picked up one of AirHammer's humongeos CAI's Friday from UPS and plan to put it on today or tomorrow. So even if your Corsa sounds better than my B&B, I bet my AirHammer will be louder than your CAI ...ha...winner! :-)
