IF I WERE TO RACE AGAINST an Audi IS4 or A5....

Since STORIES ABOUT street racing stories aren't allowed........ WHAT IF I were to race the above two cars on a certified offroad dragstrip? Past second hand experience would lead me to believe that I MIGHT walk the A5 the whole way... and slightly walk the IS4 to where it would eventually keep up with me... But I don't know.

Can someone tell me what is pushing those IS4's? I see them all the time and they don't look like anything special! The A5 looks sweet! But could be underpowered.

Any insight on these two cars? Are they very moddable?

What's an IS4?
I'll also assume you are talking about a V8 S5, since the A5 is just hitting showrooms.

And, considering I just stepped out of a V8 S4, I can offer some insight.

The V8 versions of the S4/S5 don't stand a chance against the SRT8. They will take a lead off the line thanks to the AWD, but will quickly be passed. Mods for the 340 hp 4.2L V8 are very limited. Stock they put down 260/255 whp/wtq and fully mod'd (Full exhaust,CAI,Flash) they might see 285/280 whp/wtq.

On the other hand-
If you are talking about a 2.7tt S4 from the years 2000-2001, beware.
They can be monsters mod'd.
A full K04'd 2.7tt is a 500whp, 11 second car.
And if so wished, can look and sound exactly like a stock 250hp car.

If youre gonna race, race some decent American or Jap cars. I lawl at a Dodge vs Audi race...

I see the S4 being close. Just check out forums and see what stock cars are putting down. I bet that they would be right with the stock SRT8. After 100 though, you will beat the heck outta it.

That last one sounds like what it would have been, if I were street racing. A couple body styles older, with a silver & red IS4 logo on the back left side. Looked totally stock but would keep up with me if we would have raced...

Just be smart and careful. Its not worth death, let alone death of others just to prove how fast/slow your car is compared to others. 13s arent fast really, but keep it at the track. Im 19 and learned the hard way...too many friends have gotten hurt as well.
