Hit rev limiter on 2-3 shift!?

Ok, so as I was following behind my bro. He pulls out into the Hwy and i do the same. I have it in autostick 1st. As usual i let the car shift on it's own. The 1-2 goes flawless, then all of a sudden i here the Rev limiter, look down and it's bouncin and hasn't shifted to 3rd. I immediately shift to third and let out. I couldn't get it to do it again. Maybe it was just a clitch.. idk

If anyone has any feed back please fill me (and the forum) in.

Oh, and this is on my 07, which already has the new TSB 1-2 Flash that is out now.

Mine has done it a few times when I back out of it a bit when it is nearing the shift point.

If I remember correctly, the Power Wagon has even done this a few times. Completely different tranny too.

I think it is just a "glitch", but I never noticed it on either vehicle until they had Superchips loaded.

My SRT doesnt shift on its own in autostick, does it change with the latest tsb??? I told dealer to check and update with the newest software....guess Ill have to call and get the PCM and TCM numbers this week.....

aren't you suppost to shift it manually when in auto stick? why did it shift into second on its own?

No, it was at WOT, or pretty damn close, i was trying to catch my buddy in his TBSS.

Mag, Yes, the 07 Shift programming and the 1-2 TSB Shift programming for the pre-07 SRTs make the Autostick like the 5.7 trans. It shifts at redline on its own.

thank goodness i never got that flash. i would be pissed if auto stick didn't work right. now i am sure i don't want the TBS flash. thanks.

Might want to read up on it some more before completely nixing the idea. The only time it shifts is Redline. You can dance at 6000 all day and it wont shift. Most that have been hesitant to get it but ended up getting it done, to my knowledge are happy with the flash.

Not trying to sway you one way or the other. Just some more info about it!
