no, not really, I dont think it is a good idea. Yes, it workes on the SRT-10 and Lightning, I just dont think a GC SRT would sell very good at all...
Please don't SHOW it to my wife!!!!!!! It would just be bad!

R U smoking crank it is gonna sell like the 300c and the srt-8, srt-10 models : :!: !:
Need a HEMI I'll get you one or two
i cant wait 4 it i've always loved the grand cherokee FROM like 1999 but i cant wait a faster version
Okay, I admit to being one of those who would purchase this vehicle. I can't imagine a more testosterone filled vehicle than a JEEP with a BIG HEMI. But those tailpipes really concern me. They are located right where the trailer hitch for my boat should be.
Red Donzi Classic 18 pulled by a Red JEEP SRT-8. WHooo-WHAaah!
I hope those pipes are there just during developement.
Magnum SRT-8 shows trailer towing package as an option even in the early literature. Of course, Magnum SRT-8 makes no mention of 4-wheel drive, either.
What a dilemma! Big HEMI with no four wheel drive, or Big HEMI with no trailer towing package. I want BOTH 4-wheel drive and Big HEMI! And if I can't tow my boat behind it, what is the point?
JEEP... Dodge MAGNUM... whose gonna do it first?
P.S. And JEEP can KEEP those 20" DUB and Bling-Bling wheels. A nice set of simple design 18x9" 5-spoke polished alloy wheels will do me just fine. No tall, shiney chrome wheels that are as fragile as stilts. Saw enough of those at SEMA this past year to make me want to puke. This JEEP is NOT a "Hoodmobile."
Speaking of hoods. How about a nice '70's Shaker Hood to go with those 20" Wheels.

I'm sorry, but IMHO the center-outlet dual exhaust looks really hokey to me. They'd be awesome on a euro sports car, but a Jeep? C'mon - this has got to be a joke...![]()

R.I.P. Dave...
Has DCX confirmed that center exhaust is going to be on the production SRT-8 jeep? It seems a little silly to do that as it will cause lower sales... Unless the equipment can't handle trailering stuff because it's got too much torque and not enough reinforcement in the trans or the differentials...
DCX has never officially confirmed that a SRT-8 Jeep will even be built, it's all rumors and speculation so far. But I agree, the center exhaust would have to go.Originally Posted by Fred
I'm still ticked that there arent even any rumors for a Durango SRT8... Dodge got the durango with the hemi first so we should get an SRT version first!
Besides a GC with a Hemi just doesn't sound right to me...*shrug* I never considered a Jeep with a hemi which is why is surprised the heck outta me that they made one.
I stand on the other side of the tracks wondering who would buy a Durango SRT-8, but knowing full well there will be a line long and deep for them when (if) they ever build one. Same for the Jeep GC SRT-8. I totally love the idea for both. But I don't think I'd be the one who actually bought one. As for the Jeep GC with HEmi. I"M the one who preayed it would happen, and I'M the one they are building the special ORDER Beryl Green on for.

How much will it TOW! And what is the "tongue weight" of those chrome exhaust tips under the license plate? All the other Uber-SUV's TOW in the 7,000 pound range. Even the Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 450HP (7712lb). I think I'm about to get mad. Somebody PLEASE tell me I can tow my boat behind this new Jeep SRT-8 and that it is not just another useless RAM SRT-10-style gas hog!:x
