Got my reflash today

FINALLY, got the long awaited TCM reflash today. 1 hour, in and out. I really can't tell any difference but i haven't got on it yet. I also heard that there is a PCM update out there, but I don't know if they did that one. I thought that anytime a car is in for service, they automatically check for updated reflashes. Anybody else hear about this PCM update?

if you can access your PCM and TCM part numbers, post them here and i'll look them up for you.
dealers do not automatically check for updates. they only check if they have a reason to (i.e. TSB, specific concern, etc.).

I have a May 06 build SRT8. 'Took mine in today and I got a TCM, PCM, and FCM flashes plus recalibration of a couple things that weren't right for who know how long. I have a REALLY good service department, and they got presents today.

Really mine is a May/06 build too what is a FCM flash ? I told my dealer i wanted every new update that they had...He told me that when they use starscan it will automaticlly install all new Flashes I wonder if thats true?

the starscan doesn't do anything automatically. you have to check for available updates for each module and flash them one at a time. not many dealers are willing to update all modules on your vehicle unless you are willing to pay because chrysler won't pay for flashes unless there's a valid complaint and/or a TSB directing them to do so.

Thanks Fnky...So how can i get them to do any updated flashes to the PCM then.... The TCM flash im getting done on Weds the 27th and also the slotted brakes rotors TSB too....What else can i say to make sure im upated properly?

Half the time is waiting for the starscan to boot! LOL! The Star Mobile's faster... But once they're connected, then flashing each module takes a few minutes as well. It all adds up and unless they're sitting around bored, it's gonna cost them.

So yeah, Donuts and Coffee are always a good start!
