Thumbs up ESAD's NEW CHARGER SRT8 PICS

NOTE: I am selling the entire custom audio system from my old Magnum in this thread. BLACK R/T FOR SALE with $5000 Audio System

Well guys, after 14 months of owning the Black Magnum RT, I put it up for sale here and other places because I wanted a GTO so f'ing bad.

I spent a couple months reading about them, test drove a yellow 6.0 6-speed and so on.

They really are cool cars, but I have kids. The back seat really is hard to get into. They have some pretty significant issues popping up with them etc. And some minor things like no auto climate control, no extra 12v outlet up front, no power lock switch (fixed for 2006).

But I'll be damned if when I went in for my oil change Saturday, that my dealer didn't have the only Charger SRT8 in the state. I bought it. Love it. And let me tell you. It deffinately feels stronger than the GTO. I know it has 25 extra HP. But the feeling of torque is much greater.

Plus the Charger has EVERYTHING the GTO doesnt have in way of accessories and more! Albiet at $10K more. But hey! I need my conveniences!

This thing hauls ass! I have driven 9 second cars before so it isn't scary fast in that way. But for a stock street car. DAMN! 12.9's stock! Sweet!

    Here are a few pics.

Congrats. If I didn't have a Magnum I'd want one of those. That is a dandy.

Man. . . I was like a kid again. I wanted to sleep in the car last night :???:

Funny thing, I drove all over Ft. Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, and Stuart today. (Beautiful sunny day for a drive.) and some people haven't a clue. Don't even look. Others that know what it is break their necks looking at it.

I spent a little time last night at the local street racing hang out in town and met an old friend that I hadn't seen in 10 years. He didn't see me pull up. After the "holy **** how are you's" I asked him where his car was.

    Friend: "Over there somewhere."
Me: "There's mine, just got it today"
Friend: "Oh yeah, I like the chargers, but I really like the SRT8's" (it was dark)
    Me: "It's an SRT8."
Friend: "What, no way! That's an SRT8?"
    Me: "Yup"
Friend: "You know you have the only one within 400 miles?"
Me: "Yeah, but it's within 500 miles"

    . . . . on and on. . .

    I couldn't be happier.

One point of interest. Cars are silent at idle and cruise.
Punch it, and the sound preasure abuses your body.
    Very deep and LOUD rumble.
It will shake cars next to you.

Heck yeah, put some 24's on that beast, SLAM IT! Shave everything off it and add tons of chrome and a 126 lb worth of bass pounding heart stopping system in it. Don't forget the fish aquarium in the glove box, water fountain in your steering wheel along with plasma screen tv in your wheel well. /sarcasm

Keep it stock, looks good and its an SRT-8 for cryin out loud, a PERFORMANCE veh. MAKE IT GO! It don't need no show its got it, the SRT-8 badge. Hope no one turns an SRT-8 into domestic rice.

    (Puts sniper rifle down)

Damn, Zen, you had me worried for a moment, thought we were gonna have to have an intervention for ya

Sad to say, I think we are going to see more performance hurting mods on SRT-8s than we ever want to:( I've already seen 2-3 posts over at 300C forums asking about 22s:(

Adding huge wheels to a performance car makes me cry.

SRT8 has 20's and RT has 18's and SE has 17's and you are crying about "big wheels"? Why?
