An easy way for the Ford diehards to make them feel good about themselves would be to lay out the downpayment on an LX and start driving. I did it and I'm a GM guy all the way.
(Waiting patiently for the 2011/12 300C SRT 8)
Hmmmm, had never heard of the 427 concept. Not very impressed. For those who care:
Premiered in the 2003 Detroit auto show:
. . . the 427 is only a concept. The broad-shouldered, all-black 427 is made up of quad square headlamps, cleanly shaped fenders, twin rectangular taillamps, and near-vertical grille and rear fascia. A center console runs the entire length of the cabin, splitting it INTO four quadrants. It's hip to be square. . .

My other rides:
1995 Chevrolet Impala SS . . . 260 HP / 330 lb-ft . . . all stock
2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT . . .Hemi-powered Lone Star Edition
P-3 Orion . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4600 SHP x 4 engines
Inferno Red RT ordered 7/12/2004 . . . gave up on it for a Cool Vanilla RT.
The 427 would have been a lot like a 300C if t had been produced. I thought it was pretty cool for a lot of the same reasons I like the Magnum. Instead they came out with the blobby 500. The upcoming Futura (now called something else) looks like a mini 427 and is built on the Mazda 6 chassis so there is some chance of it being entertaining if a lttle underpowered. Looking forward to a more info on it.
The complete lack of evidence is the surest sign that the conspiracy is working.
