    Bare aluminum 6.1 valve cover

    Had the wrinkle black paint media blasted off. This is what the 'raw' cast valve cover looks like. Not too smooth, but then with wrinkle paint, they did not have to be.....

    I think for certain unadorned engine bays this would be a good tough look.



    New SRT8's have the composite valve cover that is sort of rounded.

    my '06 magnum has the black plastic composite valve covers. i thought the srt's were the same until i helped change a cam on my friends '06 srt magnum. he had the painted aluminum covers. i wonder why they would bother to make the two different covers?

    I have been thinking of polishing the mag's covers. With the raw like that, it will start corroding and have the white powder crap.

    The chrome Mopar covers say that they are for the 5.7 only.

    Are the 6.1 and 5.7 covers not interchangeable? If not why?

    The chrome Mopar covers don't have the right mounting for our coils, they are for the trucks.
