    Aerochambers in route =)

Just placed my order on a pair of Aerochambers. Being that this will be my first mod I would like the rest of the community to share my excitement!

After taking a look at the SRT catback I've come to the conclusion that other than the cats themselves, the rest of the exhaust system is good to go! I've always wanted to try the Aero's and I know a few owners have been wondering what they would sound behind an SRT8.

Boys and girls.......I've just been bit by the mod bug.........AGAIN!

    Stand by!

I'm interested to see how these sound. Definitely post some sound clips. When are they arriving/getting installed?

I placed the order yesterday so I'm hoping they should ship out today. They're going on the first chance I get. I'll make some before and after videos as well.

Nice! If these give even more of a throaty sound than I already have, I might have to get a set of these too!

Actually, the resonated tips are the most restrictive part of the exhaust. Also when you eliminate them, you lose about 20 pounds of weight.

*EDIT* Actually 30 pounds shaved off when you remove them.

I went with the Hooker Aerochamber Part #: 21504HKR
I'll be removing the Oem resonators and welding in some straight pipe and 4" polished tips to finish it off.

    Aren't 2 1/2 in/outlets smaller than stock? I noticed they have 3" and 4" in/outlets available.

I wasn't too sure about the size of our pipes which is why I went with the 2.5" After looking into the mufflers the inside dimensions are most likely the same for all of them minus the inlet and outlet tubing. I'm heading out to Mufflex in Trenton, NJ tomorrow morning so they'll fix everything up for me =)

How are the resonaters restrictive? Don't they just eat sound waves? I'd bet they are very similar to those aero chambers. I've always heard that the cats are the most restrictive part.

I personally don't think the resonators are the most restrictive. I have to agree with you that the cats are much more restrictive. The resonators are so far back on the car it really wouldn't matter if they were restrictive anyway.

I just drove back from Mufflex in Jersey and I'm extremely happy with the results. I will have video up tonight =)
