    180* tstat and coolant TSB

Did any of you guys that have the 180* tstat swap back to the stock one before bringing your car in for the coolant TSB? It's my understanding that they remove the tstat to do the backflush and I don't want to deal with any issues. Mine goes in on Wednesday. Thanks

Neither did I. They didn't say anything about it. But I would bet they could if they wanted to. I would guess it varies with the service centers.

Me neither. No problems at all. It depends on your service guy. Mine's cool, but if you think your's is going to have a problem with it, take it out. It's so simple to just put it back in later.

Left mine in and dealer had nothing to say about it. They had my car for a week because the machine did not work. It still runs at 177 on the hwy.

Don't they have to remove it to do the back flush?

They do have to remove it I think, odds are they probably won't notice it's different.
