125 shot of N20?

Just wondering if anybody has tried jetting for 125 or 150 shot of nitrous. How did it work out?

I'm currently jetted for 100hp and it seems fine.

bad idea w/ stock cam........if you had more overlap it might be okay................but then you'd need a B&G to handle it.

A 100 shot can get you about a 11.7 - 11.9 @ 120 - 117 mph...........

BTW- My 100 shot has taken me a quickest of 12.4, that's after 60+ passes on the bottle. I don't think I've ever seen more than 114 mph.

But, my car is filled with stereo stuff and I can't so that may have something to do with it. Oh, I too much and weigh 270.

try some hi-flo cats to really help your combo out...........

When you compress that much air it needs some place to go right?

N2O is 33% pure oxygen.................couple that with the idea it is -30* F and makes the hot combustion chamber expand..........

All that pressure needs to flow out..............

Your stock headers work well...............the cats will really shine on the N2O setup.

Add a B&G and a cam and wha-la............

You may want to explain this to NEED4speed06.Hes been running 150 shot for quite a while now..Didnt have any problems until he started with a set of street radials and broke 2 half-shafts..Stock cam and all...No problems motor wise

Just cuz' he's going fast doesn't mean he couldn't be going faster

Those half shafts have to get some help though. 150 is way more than I'd consider running. The juice really is just like crack for your engine. I don't care what anybody says, running a large charge WILL reduce the lifespan of your internals. Best to build 'er up and use the bottle as the icing on the cake for the last 75-100 worth.

I agree about the half shafts..I also agree that 150shot is pushing the limits..But Scott"NEED" drives his car dailey and has no issues..Except at the track with the half shafts..As far as life span on an engine??I think all power adders do that to one degree or another,

I felt the question was asked and I answered with my professional oppinion.............

Some guys ride motorcyles without helmets............I do not advise that.

One of "our" cars runs a 100 shot and runs high 11's...........I feel I know what it takes to do it safely.............NEED going faster?

We haven't been breaking axles............

We haven't been blowing motors.............

Fogging infront of the throttle CAN lead to issues once you up the dope..........direct port is a WHOLE other consideration.

Another issue is the tollerances of the top ring on the pistons..........if NEED is loose but within spec, he got lucky.............then you tell this guy its "safe" and he tries and blows it all to hell.

Nah...............my opp. is that he puts on the cats, B&G, and cam and runs high 11's and run the car over a longer period of time. If he then REALLY wants to go faster, then we'd recommend he runs a direct port so you can distribute fuel properly.

i'm glad you're now on board with the mph it takes to run 11's but there's no way a 100 shot (by itself) will yield 11's for the average srt8 running somewhere other than atco, mir, or one of the few other record setting tracks.

I never said N2O ONLY will do anything.............I mentioned what need to be addressed...........and what needs to be addressed isn't more nitrous sprayed in front of the TB.

As for MPH vs Times......................our converters are here, the arguement is now over.

Go look at what I said.............the last sentence of that post explains what is needed by this individual. (and yes, our guy only used a 100 shot)

If you want time slips and to understand what these converters are doing read the FORUM and become and asset to the community.
