    October 2008 LXOM: Mighty Noid

Well what the heck can I say besides THANK YOU to my entire fellow LX’ers! The support that you all have shown me is outstanding. I know this had been said by others and myself but this is my 2nd family!

My adventure into the LX world started with my Silver Steel 2006 Dodge Charger RT w/Road & Track package that I bought in August of 2005. I was just going to do the basics to it as far as modding. Like tint the windows, change out the wheels and lower it a bit. Also put a nice basic clean stereo system in it, since that has been a huge part of my life for the past 22 years. So I searching around the world wide web about wheels and stuff and I started to noticed that this one site keep popping up, www.lxforums.com so I am like what the heck is that. I started to look inside and BAM! It hit me, that damn MOD BUG! First it is 402 Motoring with the tinted and painted tail lights and little by little, all the wonderful vendors on the site had all this great product and at a discount to boot. I knew this was the place for me.

I started to read about something called a M&G, I had no idea what that meant back then when I first saw it. So I had to be a newbie and ask about this thing called “M&G”. Oh of course it is a Meet & Greet where people meet at a parking lot and discuss different mods about their cars. Also it usually takes place when a bar/restaurant and I was like, heck yeah I want to go. I was a bit intimidated on going to my first one which was in Oct. 2005 just a few months after signing up on the forum. Once I got there, it was AWESOME!!! Everyone made you feel like you belonged there and was so friendly, I knew this was the place for me. Now I have been to dozens of M&G’s and I still go to the longest one in LX history, the famous Beach Burger in Huntington Beach, CA and I can say with great pride I was there for the first one way back in Dec. 05 and have only missed a total of 5 of them. Plus I have travelled to Las Vegas - NV, Scottsdale –AZ, San Diego – CA just to name a few spots for a M&G.

Moving forward a few years now and Tmagnum wanted to get all of us together and start a small club and call it SoCalLX. So I was like yeah let’s do it, so something that was going to be a small group of like, oh I don’t know like 80 would be great. As it stands today we have 207 members. I shouldn’t call them members; it should be more like family! Now we have weekly, monthly and huge M&G’s throughout the year.
My car has been though a few changes and here are a few images of them.

This is right after my car was used for R&D work for JBA Headers and Exhaust:

This is after Tein used the car for R&D for their Coil-over system w/EDFC:

Now some of the audio set up that I have in the car:

Also I have met a few outstanding people as well:

    Ralph Gilles and Myself:

Plus this group of outstanding people!!

So again thank you from the bottom of my heart for this fantastic honor and to be called LXOM! I know that this is the best one ever written but it does come from my heart… and some of you think that I don’t have one….LOL

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them.

    Thanks!!
Well I was, the first one had a ton of Magnums and they already new each other and it was just a handful of Chargers there. Luckily I met another great Charger owner and we have became good friends. I tease him about his red tail lights all the time and that person is Mnunes ...

Plus I think that ChargerChick brings it out of me at M&Gs that you have been at as well...

Albert, congratulations my friend! You are always there to rally the troops for whatever cause is put forth. This time, it was the troops that rallied for you!!

If you're not at an LX event you are behind your keyboard since you are always the first to welcome newbies, extend B-day wishes, plan gatherings and just in general, act as our head cheer leader. You truly make others feel welcome and part of the family!

Congrats, your LXOM is well deserved!!

    CONGRATS NOID!!!!!!!!!!!!
A very deserving winner. I've watched the Socal threads since I met up with those great people in 2007 at Beach Burger. Noid's work on the CFC alone, never mind all the other things he does, makes him a great choice for October LXOM.
    Once again, Congrats Noid.
