I want to start by saying Thank You to everyone. I still think there are others that deserve this more than me but apparently you think otherwise.
I have only had one interest since I was a little kid...Cars!It's an obsession,an addiction of sorts I guess.Old cars, new cars it doesn't really matter,as long as they are fast cars.
I got my first car at the age of 15.I bought a very rusty,250k mile 74' Road Runner with a 318 auto.I fell in love with that car and drove it for the next 2 years until it blew up.Since then I have owned more cars than I can begin to count. It has to be in the hundreds, mainly classics and Musclecars, but none made me feel the way the Road Runner did.
In the early 90's I got married and by 94' my son was born and the cars got shuffled into a corner of the garage.7 years later we moved here to AuSable Forks. With much more free time I started playing with the cars again.I got the street rod presentable and started driving it again, but it wasn't the same,so I traded this,1940 Chevy Master 85.......
For this,a 1931 Plymouth and dropped a Hemi in it,thats where the Hemi31 came from........
But I had already bought the 05' R/T which brought back the same feelings as the Road Runner gave me and the 31' Plymouth was sold.
At this point everyone pretty much knows the rest.I loved the R/T so much I bought my wife an AWD,I have been getting to as many M&G's that I can and met lots of new friends, and at the SE Shindig this past summer traded my R/T for my SRT.The forums has become my new car club and more.I spend more on my phone bill now than I ever have keeping in touch with people that were strangers a year ago and now are closer to me than my family.I want to say Thank You again and I hope I can help more of you in one way or another in the future.
Erik
